At The Beginning...
To start you off, here are our answers to your burning questions.
And do read our quick round up of 2008.
Grace said she and Jay are an example of how 'opposites attract'. Jay is an active person who enjoyed the outdoors such as scuba diving, trekking, badminton, while she is more like a 宅女 who loves watching HK dramas.
But one particular day in 1996 at Serangoon Gardens, their paths collided as Grace, who was with a big group of gal friends, asked another a big group of guys to reserve their table for them after they have completed their meals. Since then, the two groups became friends and as the saying goes, the rest is history. Their love journey of 8 years culminated in a grand wedding and solemnisation ceremony at the Chevrons, Jurong.
Thanks for engaging A Little Dream to be part of your special day!

Pine Court at Meritus Mandarin is one of my favourite wedding venues - for its warm service, grand decor and unique tiered structure. And also for its excellent sound system as well. Ein and I had a ball performing the songs that Lauryn and Justin have selected for that evening. Particularly, the Mandarin classics were a great hit with the guests.
Among the evening's highlights is Lauryn and Justin's pre-wedding montage, featuring them in numerous outfits and exquisitely beautifully backdrops, from a Greek Hall to a swing in a lush garden. I think it is one of the nicest indoor photo shoot that I ever seen. Lauryn's cousin Joel also sang two songs, a duet "小酒窝" (Your Dimples) and Jacky Cheung's Cantonese hit "你的名字我的姓氏" (Your Name, My Surname). Joel looked as if he just stepped out of a Korean idol drama series - he looked quite dashing with his cool dress sense and hairstyle. He sang the two songs really well to much applause.
Once again, our congratulations to Lauryn and Justin!
Band: Hui Bing & Ein Ein
Repertoire:
Fallen, La Vie En Rose, 小酒窝 (Your Dimples), 你的名字我的姓氏 (Your Name, My Surname), 给我一个吻 (A Kiss for Me), 甜蜜蜜 (Sweetness), 爱很简单 (Love is Simple), 我只在乎你 (You Matter to Me), 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represent My Heart), Fly Me To The Moon, Lover's Concerto, Eyes On Me, If We Hold On Together, LOVE, A Love That Will Last, My Cherie Amour, There'll You Be, Everything, Quando Quando Quando, C'est Si Bon, Cant Take My Eyes Off You, The Greatest Gift of All, The Way You Look Tonight, So Nice

As requested by the couple, we performed Greatest Day (by Take That) for the 1st march-in. Fantastic lyrics:
Today this could be
The greatest day of our lives.
Before it all ends
Before we run out of time
Stay close to me.
Stay close to me
Watch the world come alive tonight
Stay close to me
Megan and Justin finished their 10-year dating marathon, and finally tied the knots on 18 Nov 09 @ Capella. The affable Justin took the stage himself to address the guests after the 1st march-in, and introduced a travel montage which they put together. "Not to show you a travel documentary, but to share with you the happy moments we had when we travelled, and also to show you how happy we really were when we were together"
And, not forgetting the real wedding cake which they ordered specially for this celebration...

And the couple's friends presented a cute caricature of the couple with a travel theme as a surprise gift for them:

Incidentally, the day was also the birthday of Justin's mother. So the band was more than happy to sing a Happy Birthday song for her when the cake was presented to the guests!
I asked Justin later why he wanted to have a wedding lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, he replied that he had loved for the guests to enjoy the scenic view one can see from the huge window panel. Indeed, the band was so attracted to the swimming pool we regretted not bringing our swimming barangs along... (just kidding):

Compliments from Justin & Megan:
Dear Bevlyn, Ein Ein and Clarence,
Megan and I would just like to drop you A Little Note (pardon the pun!) to thank you for putting up such a fantastic performance at our wedding lunch yesterday!!
Our guests really loved your performance and Bevlyn’s lovely singing – there were so many compliments that we don’t know how to start relaying them to you. The oldies really loved the Deng Lijun songs and the ‘not-too-old’ ones loved everything from “If You Could What I see” to “爱很简单” to “恋之憩” (which sounded really beautiful ‘live’ – it’s an all-time favourite of our not-too-young friends). We loved all the songs (and it’s not just cos’ we chose them!) – including the birthday rendition for my mum.
We very much enjoyed the wedding and hope you did too – your performance created such a warm and touching atmosphere that we couldn’t have asked for more. Once again, our sincere appreciation for all your help – not just on the actual day, but the days/weeks of preparations and ding-dong emails leading up to it as well!!
Warmest regards,
Justin & Megan
Anybody who attended this wedding lunch reception would surely leave a happier person! I know the band sure did as we basked in reverie and let our hair down with the fun-loving guests of the couple. Even Ein Ein and I couldn’t help but be amazed at Hsin Yeow’s show of energy with each successive song!
From the beginning, Lucas and Su Geok made sure the repertoire for their wedding lunch would entertain all their guests, with songs for every generation from Mandopop and Cantopop to radio-friendly English pop songs and jazz.
We loved it when we saw guests at different tables clearly resonating with the meticulous selection of songs: Lucas’ family members swaying to oldies like Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Su Geok’s parents’ enthusiastic applause when the band sang the all-time Chinese favourites 爱你在心口难开 (Love You More Than I Can Say) and 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), and friends of the couple giving us appreciative glances as we serenaded them with more recent Chinese hits like 小夫妻 (Couple).
We were impressed with Carol’s (Lucas' cousin) efforts to set up several memorable highlights for the wedding reception. As soon as the band began singing Endless Love, Carol surprised Lucas by dragging him to the dance floor. The endearing scene of the dance moved several friends and relatives to rush to the dance floor to take photos and videos of them!
But that was not the end of Carol's 'pranks'. After the yum seng toasts, she forced Lucas to the front stage and lined up his 'ex-girlfriends' beside him. As if to symbolise a clean break from his former romances, each of his 'ex-girlfriends' handed him a set of keys and wished him a lifetime of bliss with Su Geok, coupled with a toast of red wine! The audience roared in laughter as two 'ex-boyfriends' suddenly appeared with their own sets of keys – we’re quite sure Lucas would have a lot to explain to Su Geok that night!
It was no surprise no guy dared to ask Su Geok for a dance; she was simply just too gorgeous to behold… Eventually, at his sister’s insistence and nudging, Lucas plucked the courage to approach an unwitting Su Geok for their first dance as Hsin Yeow crooned Everything I Do (I Do It For You). The bashful couple’s dance was really the highlight of the day for us. All in all, the band was truly blessed to have the opportunity to perform at Lucas and Su Geok’s wedding reception. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the lovely couple and wish them happiness and joy in the many years to come!

Hi Hsin Yeow,
To be honest I didn't had much opportunity to really sit down and listen to the band play due to all that was going on, moving here and there.
But from the 2 songs I did get to hear I was mesmerised, so this speaks volume on how fantastic you guys were. The feedback from most of my guest were that you were fantastic.
Never regretted my choice of engaging you guys! Anyway one of our friends will be calling you guys soon as she's planning for her wedding... Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy the band's performance then...
Cheers
Daniel

Here are two classics to bring you down on memory lane
The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
Baby I'm A Want You
It was my first time at Meritus Mandarin's Mandarin Court, and I fell in love with it once I stepped foot into the three-tiered ballroom - what a neat concept! Performing on the side stage was a new experience because we had guests looking at us from the 3 levels (of different angles). The sound system was also wonderful :)

When Ein and I performed the 1st march-in song "From This Moment", Joyce and Dave walked down the stairs across the 3 levels and finally up the stage to cut the wedding cake. We then proceeded with our first set of 45min, which included some of my personal favourites:
屬於 (Belong) by Fish Leong
求婚 (Proposal) by 赵咏华
But for the couple, their favourite must be 世界唯一的你 (The Only You In The World). Joyce had shared with me their proposal story: During one of their holiday trips in Taiwan, Dave brought Joyce to take a ride in a ferris wheel, and when their capsule was on the tip-top, Dave kneeled down, and sang this song to propose to her . Hence Joyce took the opportunity to use our band to dedicate this song back to her one and only one in the world, Dave!

We were also intrigued by the photography system for the evening by Martin T Studio; the wireless system allowed photographs just taken by the photographer to be projected onto the big screen almost instantaneously!
It was also certainly great moments for the band when we had a choir of guests singing along from their seats to our last song for that evening - 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart). Here's our warmest wishes to Dave and Joyce, wishing them everlasting bliss and bountiful babies soon!

Band: Bevlyn, Ein Ein
Repertoire:
From this Moment (1st March In), A Moment Like This, Everything In Its Time, Inside Your Heaven, Falling For You, L-O-V-E, Can't Help Falling In Love, 屬於 (Belong), 爱很简单 (Love Is Very Simple), 求婚 (Proposal)
La Vie En Rose (2nd March-in), 世界唯一的你 (The Only You In The World), These Are The Moments, Angels Brought Me Here, When You Say Nothing At All (English & Spanish), Perfect Moment, Now That I Found You, A Love That Will Last, 我只在乎你 (I Only Care For You), 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart)
Compliments from Dave & Joyce:
We just hope to attend any friends/relatives wedding with you singing so we can really sit down to enjoy it haha.
Wish you all the best and take care ya:)

Hui Bing’s Thoughts: Wind Beneath My Wings
A friend once told me that there is really no fixed ‘timeline’ when two people are in love and I agree completely.
Albert first saw Yam Foon at the entrance of the company where they worked together. And he knew she was the one for him. After winning her heart on a romantic night at East Coast Park, they registered their marriage within a year of their courtship. They officially began a new chapter of their lives with their traditional wedding ceremony on 30 October - 1 year, 10 months and 25 days later to be exact.
We were pleasantly surprised when one of the guests, Ann, came up to us and wanted to sing a song for the couple. Her power vocals on 'Wind Beneath the Wind’ helped in enlivening up the dinner programme.

Wedding guest Ann, with her rendition of 'Wing Beneath My Wings'
It was Ein’s maiden attempt as the Mandarin emcee for the evening. She did a lovely job with her crystal-clear voice and precise articulation.

Band: Hui Bing, Ein Ein
Repertoire:
A Moment Like This, Every Day I Love You, For The First Time, From This Moment, I Knew I Loved You, Love Me, Shower Me With Your Love, Valentine, When You Say Nothing At All, Your Love, Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You
Wind Beneath My Wings, Eternal Flame, One Boy One Girl, 我只在乎你 (I Only Care About You), 约定 (Our Promise), 爱很简单 (Love Is Very Simple), 浪花一朵朵 (Counting Waves), 这一生我只牵你的手 (I'll Hold Onto You in this Life), 一人一半 (Half for You, Half for Me), You Light Up My Life
Compliments from Kelly (Bridegroom Albert's sister):
Hi Bevlyn
Thanks so much for the performance of Huibing and Ein Ein. They have done a good job.
Your service is excellent.
Cheers

This has to be one of the coolest wedding I've been to.
Niki and Zhi Heng got to know each other from school, but Cupid didn't have its armour strong enough back then to light the fire between the two. Upon graduation, they went separate ways - Niki flew and Zhi Heng sailed. It was only some years later when they caught up with each other again, that sparks flew. One thing they had in common is, they love to skate.
And what better way to demonstrate this common interest which binds them together, than to SKATE-IN!! Instead of the traditional wedding march-in, the couple had a 'skate-in', as in literally, they entered the ballroom on their rollerblades. I picked up skating only recently, and I was really wowed by how they managed to skate on the carpet! Niki told me later it was really tough especially toward the end, but honestly I wouldn't have guess from the captivating smiles on their faces!
Niki and Zhi Heng skated round the ballroom, then a real 3-tier wedding cake was pushed into the ballroom. This cake was special because it was made by a good friend, but also because the friend managed to design a device to rotate the couple figurine on top of the cake!

After cutting the cake, Zhi Heng took a flag in one hand, and with his other hand holding Niki's hand, both of them skated round the ballroom again to thunderous cheers and applause. What a lovely sight. And what other better "cruising" song to skate-in than this song "I Can't Give You Anything (But My Love)". Some of you may remember this song as the song from the "Gatsby" advertisement:
We also sang a song "That's What Friends Are For" to dedicate to the couples' friends on their behalf. But the songs most well-received are the mandarin songs like "每天爱你多一些" (Loving You More Each Day), "追" (Chase), "小夫妻" (Little Couple) etc.
Definitely a smashing wedding! Congratulations once again from A Little Dream!!

I Can’t Give You Anything But My Love, That’s What Friends Are For, If We Hold On Together, 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), 永遠にともに (Together Forever), 在我生命中的每一天 (Everyday of My Life), 爱是永恒 (Love is Eternal), 小夫妻 (Little Couple), Sway
It was a lovely night at the wedding of Veron and Darren. Firstly, the march-in of the couple was extremely unique. Veron and Darren had requested for me to start the march-in singing the song L.O.V.E. The isle was warmly lit with tealights and little bubbles blown into the air. After me, two of the most adorable kids entered, stopping at times to wave at the guests, sending everyone into a photo frenzy. Finally, the couple walked in and everyone cheered as they walked down the isle. What a lovely start to the wedding!
During the video montage that showed the events of the "gate crashing" customaries in the morning, something caught my attention which made me scramble for a piece of paper to scribble down the words I found really touching. Darren added a descriptive to each alphabet of Veron's name and it read:
V - Very Different (unique)
E - Entertaining
R - Romantic
O - Outstanding
N - Noble
I thought it was very sweet. There was also a special surprise for Veron prepared by Darren's family. It was a little video that shared with the guests about how Darren and Veron met and a little message to Veron to welcome her into the family. It's always lovely to hear stories of how two people meet, and to learn of how this lovely element called "Destiny" brings two into marriage, and into a new chapter of life.
Thank you Veron and Darren for having "A Little Dream" on your special day. Thank you for your kind hospitality and we would also like to thank the guests who were appreciative of our presence and music. Last but not least, Congratulations and best wishes from all of us!

Before the couple's march-in, Daniel and Jessica's guests were treated to a special video filmed for their wedding. Shot in Tokyo, we saw Daniel and Jessica, dressed in their suit and wedding gown respectively, embracing each other in one of the many "cross junction" pedestrian crossings surrounded by skyscrapers and neonlights, visiting the Tokyo Sky Tower and finally a scene where Daniel rode off on a motorcycle, with Jessica holding him tightly as they travelled in style, back to Singapore for their wedding banquet.
Hosted by two great emcees, Enlai and a lady, the wedding of Daniel and Jessica was fun, lovely and relaxing all at the same time.
For the first march-in, the couple chose the song "Lovely" by Michelle Tumes. With just a spotlight cast on the entrance of the ballroom as the couple entered, the song and its lyrics came alive as guests and friends welcomed the couple's entrance into the ballroom. As they neared the stage, my eyes met Jessica's as I saw her singing the words to the chorus. A lovely feeling indeed. It is always great to see the couple enjoying themselves on their very special day.
For their second march-in, Jessica looked splendid in a fushia pink evening gown with cascading ruffles. Guests and relatives were in for a treat when a handful of adorable kids, who were fascinated by the stage came on, took hold of the microphones and started to sing a little Christian song. To the applause of everyone, they continued with "The Alphabet Song", and a Barney Theme Song, accompanied by Ein Ein on keys! Everyone had a rolling good time, and the kids just put a smile on everyone's face.

I first met Jessica and Daniel in May this year and its a wonderful feeling to connect with them again, this time on their actual wedding day. Thank you Daniel and Jessica for having "A Little Dream" on your special day. Our best wishes and congratulations to you both! We would also like to thank the guests for being such a wonderful audience and last but not least, thank you Jessica, for ensuring the band was well taken care of.

Compliments:
Hi Hsin Yeow,
The band was great last night!
Thanks for everything.
Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Because Of You
I was very glad to note that the audience seemed to enjoy the new songs, which included 只因为你 (Because of You), 为你写诗 (I Wrote a Poem for You), 爱是力量 (Love Gives Me Strength), 爱情 (Love), 爱转角 (Love Turns a Corner), and 另一个天堂 (The Other Heaven). Ein Ein even helped me with 另一个天堂 (The Other Heaven), which is a duet. As before, I could sense the audience listening intently to Ein Ein's dulcet vocals.
Apart from the refreshing song list, the highlight of the wedding was a surprise birthday present for Phil. It was actually Phil's birthday. Esther cheekily said, "It's my husband's birthday today! For once, I didn't buy him a present because I'm his present!" She added, "Phil, I'm going a sing you a song called 生日快乐 (Happy Birthday)!"
Ein Ein and I told we were going to perform the song on Esther's behalf, but we sprang into action upon hearing Esther's announcement. As 生日快乐 (Happy Birthday) is sung by Sky Wu, a male vocalist, we had to quickly find a key that suited Esther. This was literally done within seconds! Esther's impromptu performance drew loud cheers and a sweet kiss and hug from Phil.
I couldn't resist springing a little surprise of my own for Esther. After knowing that Esther had wanted Phil to propose to her at Disneyland, I decided to dedicate "A Whole New World" to her, even though it wasn't in the song list. I believed Esther and Phil enjoyed the song!
Congratulations Esther and Phil! Thank you so much for engaging us. May your marriage be filled with many sweet surprises, kisses and hugs!

It was a pleasant and elegant wedding banquet. We were entertained by Eric and Angeline’s pre-wedding photoshoot in MTV style done in Hong Kong - one featured the couple in the daytime, and the other featured them in the night-time. I personally liked the yacht and the sea shots. Ah… I want that for my photoshoot too… =)
We totally did not have any expectations when we were told to invite Hui Yi, an ex-student of Angeline when she taught in Nanyang School, up the stage to give a "speech". The image of a 7-8 year-old girl on the stage giving her well-wishes to the newly-wed in Mandarin was indeed too adorable for words!
Special mention of the evening goes to Lionel, the couple’s best friend, who sang 2 songs, each a representation of the bride’s and the groom’s heart to each other. For Angeline to Eric was the song "Valentine", and for Eric to Angeline, Lionel sang "Now and Forever". he even prepared a slideshow presentation of the lyrics to share with the guests the meaning of the songs!
Well, then, it’s my turn now. For both of you, 每天爱你多一些 (Loving You More Each Day):
We were also happy to meet Jonathan from the wedding planner, Wedding Acts.
Congratulations once again, Eric and Angeline!

This wedding brings me good funny memories.
First off, the band was engaged by Ashlyn for her beloved husband Shaun as a surprise - Shaun was the one who liked my music and asked Ashlyn to check out my cd. Unknown to him, Ashlyn contacted me on the sly, and we conspired (along with the hotel staff and wedding helpers) to keep the band a hush hush....well...until after the 1st march-in. Ashlyn recounted to me after the wedding what roughly happened after they sat down after the 1st march-in:
Ashlyn: "Did you notice anything different about the 1st march-in music?"
Shaun: "No...why? What's wrong?"
Ashlyn: (turned to the band and pointed)
(Bevlyn waved to Shaun and Ashlyn)
I thought that was really quite hilarious! :'D
Other than that bit, the best man and the bridesmaid both gave very entertaining speeches, I have to say. The best man shared that he knew Shaun many years ago when Shaun had "long orange hair" (quite hard to imagine). One of the punch lines he delivered was, "A man is not completed, until he got married.........and then he's finished". That joke aside, he commented that he had never seen a lovelier Shaun, and that is all thanks to Ashlyn who brought out the best in him. Awwwww...
The bridesmaid's speech was indeed an entertainingly gender-biased one:
Advice to Ashlyn: Do not buy a new brand of beer just because it is on sale.
Advice to Shaun:
1. In the wedding, the woman will always have the last say. Whatever the man says after what the woman says is the start of a new argument.
2. Put your hand on Ashlyn's hand now, look into her lovely eyes, and savour this moment. This might be the last time you have the upper hand. :)
And like any good sabotage, Shaun was asked to re-enact the proposal; without hesitation, he went down on his knees and re-enacted the proposal! That's the way huh!
My favourite part of the wedding had to be when Shaun and Ashlyn walked past the band while going round tables, and Shaun suddenly stopped Ashlyn and danced to our rendition of L-O-V-E. Impromptu moments like these make it the more romantic!

Congratulations Shaun and Ashlyn, we're so happy to be 'the surprise' :D
Here's wishing you a blissful and joyful marriage!

Compliments from the couple:
Dear Bevlyn :)
It is so rare for Boon Siang and Juliana to have a tiff that they could count on one hand the number of times that happened. In fact, Boon Siang told his wedding guests the longest time they stayed mad at each other was about half a day at most. Juliana also found it surprising that wedding preparations went so smoothly. They agreed on almost every decision, and when they didn't, one party compromised and they moved on.
Ariel, Lim Hui, Ein Ein and I had a fantastic time performing at Boon Siang and Juliana's wedding! The wedding is probably the A Little Dream record-holder for having the most number of 'guest stars'. Quite a few wedding guests asked to perform. Most of them sang without any prior rehearsal, except for one special guest - Juliana's dad, who sang Indah Rencanamu Tuhan

Is it a tradition in Indonesia for singers to receive red packets? Apparently so.
( Other special 'guest stars' )
I'd spent some time reading their wedding website, and I was touched by Boon Siang's proposal.
( Here's how he did it... )
I shared the story with the guests before singing 嫁给我 (Marry Me), and I was glad to learn later that Juliana and Boon Siang appreciated my gesture.
Congratulations, Boon Siang and Juliana! It was a privilege to perform at your wedding. Thank you for engaging us!

Sorry for the late compliments. We were just back from our honeymoon. ;)
The band was really great. Everyone was enjoying the music.
It's too bad we didn't get to listen some of the songs, but at least we got to listen you telling the guests about the proposal story. The second march-in song was fantastic, setting the mood that we wanted.
Also, thank you for your help liaising with the hotel co-ordinator directly on the set-up arrangement problem.
Once again, thank you very much.
P.S: We attach a few of our-prewedding photos. We'll be viewing our Actual Day photos next week and send you the photos of the band, if any.
Kind Regards,
Boon Siang and Juliana
I almost didn't get to perform for Yeh Min and Isaac. They wanted us to serenade their guests after their solemnisation at Living Hope Methodist Church, but the Church staff were concerned about whether the live music would affect the classes being held above the reception area, as well as the HDB residents nearby.
Thankfully, Yeh Min persuaded the staff to agree to having the band. At our end, we also assured the Church that we would take every precaution to ensure that the live music would be kept at an acceptable level.
Ein Ein and I had a wonderful time at Yeh Min and Isaac's wedding! The couple were very appreciative of our music, and I noticed the guests' turned their heads to look at us whenever Ein Ein sang a duet with me.
I also managed to cajole Yeh Min and Issac to dance! Most of their guests had left by then, but the photographers were on hand to capture the moment for posterity.
To Yeh Min and Isaac, thank you for engaging us after you heard us at Esther and Jeff's wedding.
Congratulations once again, and may you both enjoy a blissful and fulfilling marriage!

Compliments from the Couple:
Hi Hsin Yeow,
Thanks for your performance, it has certainly created a better ambience for the wedding.
The music was great and everything went on pretty smoothly :)
We enjoyed ourselves and I believed the guests had a good time too. Once again, thanks much for putting up a great performance on the most memorable day of our lives.
Best regards,
Yeh Min and Isaac
We first got to know David when he enthusiastically stepped up to the band after our performance at Ying Ying and Jonaven's wedding in 2007. We were taken aback (because Singaporean audience are seldom warm and enthusiastic), but very happy to get to know David and knew about his love for live music. We saw him again a month later when he went down to one of the wedding fairs we did at Marina Square. So to perform at his wedding 2 years down the road, I think we have really come full circle :)
The wedding was definitely a lively one, not only due to the live music by the live band, but also by the meticulous and thoughtful planning on David's part. After showing the guests a photo montage of the couple's childhood photos, David arranged for me to first sing "How Do I Live" before we performed 天天夜夜 (Every Day Every Night)", which cued the grand entrance of David and Diana into the ballroom.
And for most couples who got to know each other because of common friends, I thought it important to acknowledge their 'match-makers'. David and Diana got to know each other due to their colleagues Adeline and Kelvin and things picked up swiftly from there as they shared many common interests (eg. live music and marketing and management theories and strategies amongst others). They officially became steads on 31 Mar 07, and 2 years later, they solemnised the marriage on 31 Mar 09.
The couple also shared a video featuring their close friends giving their best wishes, which is definitely a good keepsake in many years to come. After the 2nd march-in, David sprung a surprise on Diana - he had bought a diamond pendant for his bride, a very thoughtful gesture, in my humble opinion. He put on the necklace for Diana, and announced that he would next like to serenade his bride with a song 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You'. A song which speaks a thousand words, from the days of doing OT in office when they first got to know each other...
David's rendition was nothing short of spectacular. Diana, you are such a lucky gal! :)
Thank you David and Diana for getting us to be a part of your wedding celebration, we will remember this wedding in many years to come. We wish you and Diana every little joy in life!

Compliments from David & Diana:
We wanted the guests to share our joy, get to eat some really good food, and enjoy the music that was dedicated for them. We have done it!! Thanks to your help, we managed to entertain our guests to no end. They appreciated the entire wedding, as the value was far more well worthy than what they have paid for in their Ang Pao $$ (^_^)
Perhaps, wedding banquets should not be a dull event with the usual march-ins, doing yum seng toasting, and having the food.. A Little Dream, in my opinion, has changed the way how weddings are being carried out in contemporary times. Through the effects of Bevlyn and A Little Dream, it's really becoming a trend and a must to engage a band of wedding singers to perform in today's wedding banquets to entertain the guests.
Congratulations! I am sure A Little Dream would continue to be a popular name and an ever successful band. You are the reason why I felt in love with attending wedding banquets - cause' I may have a chance to see you guys perform! (I used to complain because of the 'red bomb')
For the performers:
Bev, I have 100% confidence that you will make my wedding a success! I want nobody nobody but U!! Your vocals have touched the hearts of my guests, and I am both thankful and appreciative. I also have a few guests who were so impressed by Jerome's 'Jacky Cheung alike' vocal, they were asking me for his contact for future functions to sing Chinese/Canto songs!!
Your light-hearted way of emceeing and thoughtfulness, coupled with Jerome's funny and delightful speeches, have certainly made my wedding lunch a great and unforgettable event.
Also, I am so glad Ein was there to back me up when I was singing "Can't Take My Eyes Off You". She has been a terrific keyboardist and I certainly anticipate to see her in other weddings and youtube videos ;-) & not forgetting Lim Hui and her new electric violin which makes it's debut in my wedding lunch!! Woah~I am so honored!!
With you, Ein, Jerome & Lim Hui on the stage, what else can I ask for? You guys should go forth to Taiwan and kick some asses in Xing Guang Da Dao!!
Best Wishes,
David & Diana
Lincoln也准备了一首now and forever献给Audrina。
Lincoln

If you ever had doubts of your showmanship on stage, a live peformance at your own wedding dinner reception will be a good way to overcome it. And that's exactly what our newly weds Wee Loon and Chevonne did. The couple gave all the guests a pleasant surprise when they suddenly sing and walk gracefully into the ballroom during their 2nd march-in. And trust me, their serenading of the 2nd march-in song 浪花一朵朵 was splendid, winning thunderous applause from all of us! Wee Loon and Chevonne would even add appropriate gestures corresponding to the lyrics in this 2nd march-in song 浪花一朵朵:
"Wee Loon:时光匆匆匆匆流走, 也也也不回头, 美女变成老太婆… (Wee Loon peeping at Chevonne!?),
Chevonne:哎呀那那那个时候, 你你你你也也, 已经是个糟老头… (Chevonne pointing back at Wee Loon!!!)"

Guess you can easily imagine the funny yet loving scenario then. What a sweet and fun-loving couple and that really makes us envy! :)
To add on, our wedding band performance (Ein Ein and myself) has also won good response and applause from the wedding guests. We really appreciate it and hope they have enjoyed the songs specially selected by our thoughtful couple for all the guests that night.

Wee Loon and Chevonne,
Congratulations and thank you so much for allowing us to share your joy and happiness on this lovely evening. We sincerely wish you an everlasting and blissful marriage with all the happy and memorable events endlessly gushing in just like "浪花一朵朵"! ^_^

Hello Hsin Yeow!
So sorry for the late reply as we just came back from our honeymoon.
Thank you so much for helping to coordinate everything.
And, we would like to thanks Judy, Wilson and Ein Ein for their wonderful musical performance. The band was great on that night and we truly appreciate Judy's effort to learn the cantonese songs we've chosen.
Our guests loved their performance too! : )
We have attached two of the morning pics for you. Will send you the evening pics as soon as we get it from our photographer. : )
Cheers,

Song To Recommend:
Love Story by Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift's star is shining brightly now; it's no wonder we're getting requests for her hits.
Alexandre and Melissa had known each other for 6 years, of which 4 years were spent long-distance. Other than being it being a French tradition for the banquet tables to be named after countries/cities, it probably also served to remind us of the strong love the couple had for each other, as they could only see each other every 6 months in Asia or Europe during that arduous period!

Melissa and Alexandre had painstakingly made the efforts to incorporate the Chinese and the French cultures in this wedding celebration. For the evening, a Singaporean female emcee was paired with a French male emcee so that the guests were addressed in English and French. The 1st march-in song was a classical piece by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák called New World Symphony (the couple had chosen it for its dramatic crescendo, which worked wonders), and the 2nd march-in was a Mandarin song which really caught me by surprise. But it's really no wonder if you think of it, this song has such a strong Chinese flavour to it:
Our band also contributed to the fusion display of duo cultures by performing in a mixture of English, Mandarin and French chansons!
And to everyone's delight, Melissa and Alexandre broke into a beautiful waltz after their 2nd march-in. Lovely!!

We really seldom hear grooms give thanks to their families expressively, and Alexandre counts among the rare few. He ended his thanks to his father with "Je t'aime" (I love you), and the father notably touched, went up to give him a big hug. Alexandre also thanked his dear sister Celine for always being there, and reminded his mother that "geographically, you are always in my heart"....
One of the highlights for the evening had to be the surprise gift from Alexandre's mum; she had prepared a montage of Alexandre's photos from birth to his adult years for the couple and guests. I thought everyone had the loudest laugh when pictures of Alexandre in his long-hair experimenting years came up the screen! [Everybody, be warned of cool mothers who can do photo montages!]
It was a little enervé at first with a table of French guests seated right in front of the band. But my nerves soon went away when some of them started singing along with me to some of the French songs. However, the one which really made everyone loosen up and sang along loudly was this:
Sympathique (by Pink Martini):
There were also other songs like "Je t'aimais, Je t'aime et Je t'aimerais" (I loved you, I love you and I will love you) which the French guests sang along to; I think I was more blown away by the fact that they could remember the lengthy lyrics!

Thank you Melissa and Alexandre, it was indeed a heartwarming and splendid wedding!
Our warmest congratulations again!

Band: Bevlyn, Ein Ein on keyboard & Selwyn on violin
Repertoire:
All You Need Is Love, Always You, Crazy Love, Everything In Its Time, I Love You, , On The Side Of Me, Sway, The Way You Love Me, 写一首歌 (Write A Song), 当我八十岁 (When I'm 80), La Vie En Rose, Fever, Let's Fall In Love, Sometimes When We Touch, The Look Of Love, Time After Time, Sympathique, Quizas Quizas Quizas, Je t'aimais Je t'aime et Je t'aimerais, C'est Si Bon, Marilyn et John, For Me Formidable, I'm Yours
Couple's Compliment:
Hi Bevlyn!
Wow we can tell you’ve paid quite some attention to our montages and speeches – nice! And yes, you’re right – the 2nd march-in song was chosen as it’s such a recognisable Chinese song, and matches with my Oriental-inspired evening gown! Haha!
Thanks for your wonderful singing. All our guests, French and Singaporean alike, were impressed and truly enjoyed your performance. It was a pity Alexandre and I weren’t around to enjoy it more.
We hope it was a memorable night for you and the band as well, and that it’ll be one wedding that you’ll remember for some time to come! We’ll certainly remember your lovely performance and superb French :)
Cheers,
Melissa
