Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Angels Brought Me Here
I felt privileged to be at Chris and Peggy's wedding celebration, not just because the couple trusted us implicitly to provide a night of rousing music, but also because I was privy to information perhaps not many others knew about.
Chris shared with me a particularly heart-wrenching period of their relationship. This was about three years ago, shortly after Peggy left for studies in Australia.
It was a trying time when they had many disagreements. The number of phone calls slowed down to an agonising trickle, until it stopped completely. Chris was devastated, and he did what he felt was the only thing he could: picked himself up and bought an air ticket to Perth.
Carrying his passport and wallet as his only possessions, he flew over and had a heart-to-heart talk with Peggy. Fortunately, they managed to resolve their misunderstandings, and Chris flew back to Singapore the next day!
Knowing their love story also helped me understand why Chris chose Angels Brought Me Here for their first march-in:
It's been a long and winding journey
But I'm finally here tonight
Picking up the pieces
Walking back into the light
To the sunset of your glory
Where my heart and future lies
There's nothing like that feeling
When I look into your eyes
My dreams came true
When I found you
I found you
My miracle
The band and I had a fantastic time at the wedding! I was blessed with a strong team of musicians with me, and Ariel was a joy to perform with. The Suntec City staff were also quite amazing. They provided a little lamp for Qiuyun so that she could look at her scores clearly, and even pulled up a low table to place our glasses of water.
Congratulations again, Chris and Peggy. Thank you for engaging us, and may you both enjoy many sweet and happy days ahead!

Hi Hsin Yeow and company,Chris here.
I received many great feedback about the performance of the band.
Some mentioned that my wedding was tastefully done up and I feel that its all due to the professional manner that the performance was delivered.
Once again, thank you!! I hope we still have opportunities to work together again..

Hsin Yeow's thoughts: I Will Be Here
Edmund and Natalie had a novel idea for a walk-in. They wanted to sing a duet. Not just any duet, mind you, but an original song written for a musical.
The task of playing the tune fell on James' capable shoulders. He arranged for Edmund and Natalie to rehearse with him before the wedding to make sure they knew exactly what to do.
When I heard the couple's assured rendition of the song, I knew why they picked it. The song is simply a true reflection of how they feel for each other. Take a look at the lyrics below.
Edmund:
Is this a dream?
Is this for real?
You are the girl I've been praying for
A vision of beauty
A heart full of grace
Will you give me your hand
I will cherish you till the end
Natalie:
You are the man I have fallen for
One who is loving, gentle and kind
What have I done to deserve this gift?
You are my heart's desire
Together:
This is love, this is grace
You are more than I can imagine or ask for
I was also touched by Edmund's candid speech. He admitted that it was difficult sometimes to express love for their parents. So he asked his parents and in-laws for understanding, and affirmed his and Natalie's love for them. It was a touching moment.
Congratulations Edmund and Natalie! Thank you so much for engaging us!
Band: Hsin Yeow, James
Repertoire:
I Will Be Here, When I Am 64, La Vie En Rose, Everything, These Are The Moments, Valentine, You Raise Me Up (dedicate to parents), When You Love Someone, Lover’s Concerto, Ordinary Miracle, Grow Old With You, L-O-V-E, Love Paradise, I’m Yours, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, You’ve Got A Friend (Dedicated to all friends), (The Moon Represents My Heart), 幸福摩天轮 (Ferris Wheel Of Happiness), 你的名字我的姓 (Your Name With My Surname), 爱很简单 (Love Is Very Simple), 每天爱你多一些 (Every Day I Love You More)

Adeline's thoughts: Forever Love
The bride’s Jie-meis (bridesmaids) were certainly rather innovative in their games when the groom and xiong-dis (groomsmen) came to pick the bride. Very often the bride doesn’t get to experience the fun involved as the groom & xiong-dis try to 'break the gate'. She can only get to see it in a video after the wedding is over. One way around this was to make full use of the wonders of technology - video conferencing!
The highlight of the night would be the special dedication that Dixon sang for his lovely wife, Janette – Forever Love by Lee Hom. It was a complete surprise to Janette for she really did not expect anything of the sort. Dixon’s serenade truly touched Janette’s heart.
To top it off, at the chorus where it goes “Forever Love… Forever Love”, his ever supportive guests joined in and sang it aloud. For a moment, with the dimmed lights and Dixon singing on the stage, it felt like a concert with the couple as the stars of the show.

Dixon and Janette, thank you for inviting us to be a part of your wedding. Here's wishing you great joy and Forever Love for your marriage! Congratulations!
Band: Hui Bing, Jun Xiong, Adeline

L-R: Jun Xiong, Dixon, Janette, Hui Bing, Adeline

Dream A Little Dream, (Every Day I Love You More), Fallen, 恋爱频率 (Love Frequency), 爱是永恒 (Love Is Eternal), Lover's Concerto, The Way You Look Tonight, You're Still the One, Always, Sarang Heyo
(Dimples), Because You Loved Me,你最珍贵 (You're The Most Precious),Yellow, (The Moon Represents My Heart), Way Back Into Love, (You're The One I Love The Most), Shakespeare in love, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Say a Little Prayer For You, 你是我心内的一首歌 (You're A Song In My Heart)
Compliments:
Your performance was great. We all enjoyed it.
Adeline even assisted to sing along when Dixon was a bit too emotional to carry on upon seeing me in tears.
Thank you, A Little Dream, for making our banquet memorable.
Cheers

(The Moon Represents My Heart)
As Zheng Quan and I were rehearsing for this couple’s wedding show, the first thing I noticed was that their friends, especially the “brothers and sisters”, were really fun-loving and spontaneous! I was pleasantly surprised when the couple’s friends eagerly cheered for the band and enjoyed the songs which were specially chosen by the couple and probably dedicated to their loyal friends.
Zheng Quan’s rendition of 一人一半 (One Half) seemed to have drawn the loudest applause from this band of friends who were later tickled by Zheng Quan’s confession that he did not speak the Hokkien dialect fluently.
In fact, the couple chose a diverse repertoire of English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and Korean songs, which were bound to please their guests of every ethnic and dialect group as well as generation. And like Zheng Quan, I gallantly took up the challenge of singing a Korean song - I Want To Get Closer - despite being Korean-disabled!
We were so wowed with the constant attention showered upon us by Mike and Kaixin’s friends that we agreed to provide accompaniment when they forced Mike to sing 月亮代表我的心 to declare his undying love to Kaixin. Evil me even ran up to the (poor) groom with a copy of the song’s lyrics. As it turned out, Mike seemed so well-prepared that he sang the entire song in style. I bet Kaixin was really pleased with Mike’s show of dedication and devotion.
Speaking of which, Mike is probably the only groom in this world who can eat a sandwich filled with layers of thick wasabi without shedding a tear or showing any change of facial expression, judging from the detailed footage of the “gate-crashing” session! I hereby extend my heartfelt congratulations to Mike and Kaixin. Thank you for inviting us to perform at your wedding dinner and share in your joy and love!

(One Like Summer, One Like Autumn)
Eileen thought William wasn't a particularly romantic guy, but she had to take it all back when he surprised her by proposing while they were on a trip to Genting.
The proposal had all these elements:
- surprise (check)
- bended knee (check)
- witnesses (check)
William even arranged for photographs to be taken to document Eileen's expression of joy, bliss and utter astonishment when the ring was slipped onto her finger.
So Eileen thought of springing a surprise of her own on her wedding day. That surprise was A Little Dream!
Eileen and I had met when I was performing at one of her company functions. I found her very friendly and approachable, and I was thrilled when she asked me to perform at her wedding. I found Ariel and James to form the band, and the three of us had a whale of a time.
Halfway through the set, I remarked, "Gosh, we can't seem to singing songs from so many different genres and languages!"
Indeed, the repertoire Eileen chose was incredibly eclectic and had something for everyone.
When I was singing "You And I Both", one table of twenty-somethings applauded. When Ariel was performing "Fly Me To The Moon", it attracted applause from yet another group of guests. When I sang the Hokkien classics 家后 (Queen Of The House) and 一人一半 (One Half), the older folks cheered. Thank you all, for your support!
Congratulations Eileen and William! Thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your beautiful wedding. May you both enjoy a lifetime of sweet surprises!
Band: Hsin Yeow, Ariel, James
Repertoire:
Fly Me To The Moon, (You're A Song In My Heart), Lucky, (Escape To The Moon), From This Moment, You And I Both, Unforgettable, Built To Last, 一人一半 (One Half), 幸福摩天轮 (Ferris Wheel Of Happiness), Everything, 当我八十岁 (When I’m 80), Fly Me To The Moon, My Love Will Get You Home, Nobody, (One Like Summer, One Like Autumn), 家后 (Queen Of The House), 喜欢你 (I Like You), Save The Last Dance For Me
Compliments from Eileen:
Hi Hsin Yeow,
Great to hear from you! Sorry for my delayed reply as i was away..Sure will do so when I receive the photos from our photographer..
U guys did a really great job..
Thanks n take care!:)

Wedding Tip:
Eileen obviously put a lot of thought in her repertoire. Apart from selecting songs of different languages and genres as mentioned above, she had specific reasons for choosing certain songs:
一个像夏天一个像秋天 (One Like Summer, One Like Autumn) - because she identified with the lyrics and thought it described her relationship with William pretty well!
Nobody (Wondergirls) - this ubiquitous pop hit was specially dedicated to Eileen's bridesmaids. The groomsmen also had to dance to the tune during the gate-crashing!
(Ferris Wheel Of Happiness) - a beautiful song by Eason Chan, William's favourite singer
Unforgettable - for the couple's friends who enjoy jazz standards

Matthew’s Thoughts: You Are So Beautiful

Not much needed to be said. Jae is the coolest! I got there early to rehearse his super-top-secret surprise song, and while he initially planned to sing throughout the 2.5 minute photo montage he specially created for Chloe, he heeded our advice to do just 1 verse as I told him “eh just in case you cry la, then cannot even finish the song.”
But macho man Jae assured us that wouldn’t happen. True enough, after the second line, “you are so beautiful, to me...” I was left hanging (as well as the entire ballroom!) waiting for him to go into “can’t you see....you’re everything I hope for” but I think he was choking (on macho tears!)
Well good thing I didn’t cry too. I wanted too though. But it’d be difficult not to, really. The way it happened was, the couple stayed on stage to give their speech after the toast, and then went back to take their seats while the “surprise” photo montage was playing.
I was just playing generic romantic-ish piano in the background till the 1.5minute mark, whereby suddenly, a spotlight (ballroom in darkness now for the presentation) lit our hero Jae, who sang directly to her. Needless to say, the entire ballroom burst into cheers and applause when they heard the first line.

It’s also extra gratifying to have the nearby tables clapping and acknowledging us after every song! It’s bad enough for them that they’re stuck next to us (where it’s the loudest) but I think they liked it! Sitting next to the band has its perks! Not only are you in shouting distance to make your song requests, we’re good at distracting babies too! (Kids under age of 3 will just stare at us, trying to ascertain the source of this cacophony that’s attacking him/her.)

And for honorable mention, Jae got us this mega roast-duck-char-siew-rice dinner. Usually I wouldn’t talk about the dinner we get, but this guy’s dinner really made my day. Haha. Got me and Ariel into an intense “where is the best char siew in the world” discussion (not argument.)
Band: Ariel, Matthew, Ivan
Repertoire:
L-O-V-E (1st Walk in), So Nice (First Dish), Dream A Little Dream, Fly Me To The Moon, Quando Quando Quando, La Vie En Rose, When I Fall In Love, Let’s Stay Together, Lovin' You, Just The Way You Are
Fallen (2nd March in), Grow Old With You, If I Ain't Got You, I'm Yours, Kiss Me, For No Reason, Everything, You Are The Sunshine Of My Life, That's What Friends Are For, 甜蜜蜜 (Honey Sweet), 上海灘 (Shanghai Beach)

Hi,
Jae's my JC classmate and I attended the wedding dinner on Saturday. It was my first time hearing A Little Dream live and this I have to say: You guys were fantastic! Thanks for bringing such beautiful music to the dinner. :)

Compliments from a wedding guest
Hi,
Jae's my JC classmate and I attended the wedding dinner on Saturday. It was my first time hearing A Little Dream live and this I have to say: You guys were fantastic! Thanks for bringing such beautiful music to the dinner. :)
Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Angels Brought Me Here
It is so rare for Boon Siang and Juliana to have a tiff that they could count on one hand the number of times that happened. In fact, Boon Siang told his wedding guests the longest time they stayed mad at each other was about half a day at most. Juliana also found it surprising that wedding preparations went so smoothly. They agreed on almost every decision, and when they didn't, one party compromised and they moved on.
Ariel, Lim Hui, Ein Ein and I had a fantastic time performing at Boon Siang and Juliana's wedding! The wedding is probably the A Little Dream record-holder for having the most number of 'guest stars'. Quite a few wedding guests asked to perform. Most of them sang without any prior rehearsal, except for one special guest - Juliana's dad, who sang Indah Rencanamu Tuhan

Is it a tradition in Indonesia for singers to receive red packets? Apparently so.
( Other special 'guest stars' )
I'd spent some time reading their wedding website, and I was touched by Boon Siang's proposal.
( Here's how he did it... )
I shared the story with the guests before singing 嫁给我 (Marry Me), and I was glad to learn later that Juliana and Boon Siang appreciated my gesture.
Congratulations, Boon Siang and Juliana! It was a privilege to perform at your wedding. Thank you for engaging us!

Compliments:

Hi Hsin Yeow and the Band,
Sorry for the late compliments. We were just back from our honeymoon. ;)
The band was really great. Everyone was enjoying the music.
It's too bad we didn't get to listen some of the songs, but at least we got to listen you telling the guests about the proposal story. The second march-in song was fantastic, setting the mood that we wanted.
Also, thank you for your help liaising with the hotel co-ordinator directly on the set-up arrangement problem.
Once again, thank you very much.
P.S: We attach a few of our-prewedding photos. We'll be viewing our Actual Day photos next week and send you the photos of the band, if any.
Kind Regards,
Boon Siang and Juliana

Shawn's Thoughts: Fly Me To The Moon
A wedding fit for royalty.
That was what i thought when i stepped into the ballroom with my barang barang. From the palatial ballroom fixtures to the exquisite wedding decor, this couple was determined to give their friends and relatives a memorable wedding celebration.
About a third of the guests flew in from Hong Kong to attend the wedding. The wedding planner was astute enough to engage an emcee who was proficient in Cantonese. His experience showed as he tickled the guests throughout the dinner with his witty remarks delivered off the cuff.
We all agreed that the wedding provided us with the best stage, sound system and audience. Usually we had to contort our bodies to fit a small stage, but the one we had was really generous. There was also an elaborate mixing board, a fantastic arsenal of mikes (I had my entire drumkit miked up!), a dedicated soundman...we even had monitors and lights on our music stands! Thanks, Colin!
Judy was fabulous. That woman can really sing! We did mostly classic ballads like Have I Told You Lately, The Way You Love Me and some Cantopop numbers. A few swing and bossa were thrown into the mix. I felt so alive performing those tunes, and I always learn something new after playing with Feri.
Congratulations Ivy and Boon Huat! Thank you once again for engaging us for your fabulous wedding!

(Wave)
If you ever had doubts of your showmanship on stage, a live peformance at your own wedding dinner reception will be a good way to overcome it. And that's exactly what our newly weds Wee Loon and Chevonne did. The couple gave all the guests a pleasant surprise when they suddenly sing and walk gracefully into the ballroom during their 2nd march-in. And trust me, their serenading of the 2nd march-in song 浪花一朵朵 was splendid, winning thunderous applause from all of us! Wee Loon and Chevonne would even add appropriate gestures corresponding to the lyrics in this 2nd march-in song
(Wee Loon peeping at Chevonne!?),
(Chevonne pointing back at Wee Loon!!!)"

Guess you can easily imagine the funny yet loving scenario then. What a sweet and fun-loving couple and that really makes us envy! :)
To add on, our wedding band performance (Ein Ein and myself) has also won good response and applause from the wedding guests. We really appreciate it and hope they have enjoyed the songs specially selected by our thoughtful couple for all the guests that night.

Wee Loon and Chevonne,
Congratulations and thank you so much for allowing us to share your joy and happiness on this lovely evening. We sincerely wish you an everlasting and blissful marriage with all the happy and memorable events endlessly gushing in just like "浪花一朵朵"! ^_^

(Being Your Man), Nine Million Bicycles, That's Amore, Stupid Cupid, Stand By Me, 分分种需要你 (I Need You Every Minute Every Second), Dancing Queen, I'm Yours, Lovers' Concerto
Compliments from the couple:

Ein Ein's thoughts: The Gift
=====
新人选的 1st march in 是浪漫的合唱曲 The Gift,first dish 则是轻快的 L-O-V-E。
:-D haha..

Grow old with you (2nd March in), Quando Quando Quando, (Your Name With My Surname), Every Day I Love You, A Whole New World, From this moment, I Think I, 恋爱频率 (Love Frequency), Kiss Me, Love Story, 小酒窩 (Small Dimples)

Hsin Yeow's thoughts: 家后 (Queen Of The House)
We were pleased as punch to be invited to perform at Doris' birthday party (let's keep her age a secret, shall we?), held at Seascape Gallery at Sentosa Cove.
For one, it was an opportunity to shake the dust off the lyric sheets of our Mandarin and Hokkien classics because the guests simply loved them. They were rather vociferous in their support, and even came up to the microphone more than once to sing along with us! We were glad for the spontaneous performances, since it made the atmosphere all the more jovial!

Spontaneous performances from the guests were the order of the day!
Special thanks to Victor (victorid@starhub.net.sg) for sending us his photographs!
One of the memorable highlights of the evening was when Doris' children came up and delivered a 15-min speech about their mother. Filled with amusing anecdotes (e.g. My mother is a perfectionist, because she once woke me up at 7am and asked for my car keys as she wanted to straighten my car!), the speech tickled the audience no end.
Happy birthday, Doris!

Imelda's thoughts:
A cosy dinner hosted behind closed doors and under the watchful eye of our DPM Wong Kan Seng’s personal bodyguards was indeed an eye-opener. Yes, we couldn’t peel our eyes off the delicious-looking dishes that were being individually served to the guests! Each plate was a tiny but ornate art piece, worthy of every succulent bite. And in between my own bites of lian rong pao (lotus seed buns) that sweet Matthew had thoughtfully bought from the nearby foodcourt, we could only wistfully savour the whiffs of fine Chinese cuisine as the service staff carried them past the musicians’ tiny rest corner, located just next to the pantry door.
This dinner was no ordinary dinner for the affluent, for these guests are the ones responsible for the generous funding of the Singapore Cord Blood Bank’s R&D, medical advancement that could potentially save many lives. When Hsin Yeow first invited me to perform at this dinner, I was a little excited because being a parent myself, I could relate to the importance of cord-blood banking and its incredible medical potential. My gentle serenade to the guests was my own expression of thanks to them for their charity and life-saving foresight.
We paced the evening with both fast and slow English, Chinese, Cantonese and Hokkien tunes, many of which our guests shyly mouthed along to as they had their dinner. I personally really enjoyed it when Hsin Yeow sang “Sway”. As the song built up, he was moving his legs to the rhythm of the Cha-Cha, so engrossed in his little dance that I couldn’t help but join in. From the corner of my eye, I was pretty certain that Matthew and Boon Chye were shaking their butts and would have joined in too if they didn’t have to play their instruments.
It is truly an honour to be able to perform at a “Thank-You” dinner for our Nation’s very distinguished. This is indeed a memorable first gig with A Little Dream that I thoroughly enjoyed. As I look forward to more opportunities in future, I shall also shamelessly hint to Hsin Yeow that we hope to have more than lian rong pao for dinner next time ;p

(A Beautiful Night)

(Love Is Eternal)
A wedding needs a lot of support from either family, relatives and friends. Usually all three.
Tony and Lynn have a great bunch of friends. They were spontaneous and very playful. Tony and Lynn were equally sporting, and had fun with the "sabo" games their friends dished out.

We were greatful to be their wedding band for the night as well. Tony and Lynn chose a varied set of songs, ranging from pop to classics. Hui Ming even sang a Japanese tune!
To Tony and Lynn's guests - Thanks for all the applause!
Band: Jerome, Hui Ming, Ian

L-R: Jerome, Tony, Lynn, Ian, Hui Ming

Jerome and his fans!
Repertoire:
From this moment (1st march-in), Love Me, 喜欢你 (I Like You), 追 (Chase), Yuki No Hana, How Deep Is Your Love, (May All Live Well And Long), 今天你要嫁给我 (Marry Me Today), 最浪漫的事 (The Most Romantic Thing), What A Wonderful World, Top Of The World
Can't Take My Eyes Off You (2nd march-in), You've Got A Friend, Love Will Keep Us Alive, If We Hold On Together, Dream A Little Dream, L-O-V-E, 给我一个吻 (Give Me A Kiss), 一人一半 (One Half), 我要你的爱 (I Want Your Love), 爱是永恒 (Love Is Eternal), 做你的男人 (Being Your Man)
Compliments from Tony:
Hsin Yeow!!
Thanks for catering to our needs and last minute requests. Hui Ming, Jerome and Ian were great. Though we weren't around but that what all our friends commented. The most amazing that could have happened is Lynn's sister was a fan of Jerome.
Thanks for making it happen for us and will really appreciate if you can let us know when is their next performance. Really didn't have a chance for us to sink in to their music. Cheers!!

(I Want Your Love)
You know that well-worn tradition of getting the groom and groomsmen to overcome different challenges posed by the bridesmaids before the groom could meet his bride?
Well, poor Bobby had another set of challenges to conquer before he and Mei Ting could reach the stage of the Four Seasons Hotel ballroom.
There were four pairs of imposing swordbearers, each one armed with a different challenge for Bobby. The last one was particularly memorable: Bobby had to carry Mei Ting up the stage! Initially I was slightly worried for Bobby, who seemed to need a bit more meat on him. Luckily for Bobby, Mei Ting seemed as light as a feather, and he overcame that challenge to the rousing cheers of their wedding guests!
Having proven his brawn, Bobby had to serenade his bride by performing a Cantonese number, (Your Name With My Surname). It was a beautiful song, and Bobby did it justice despite having had no prior rehearsal.
One of the highlights of the wedding was the entire group of groomsmen and bridesmaids stayed onstage after the yum seng ceremony to sing (I Want Your Love) together! It was a blast!
Congratulations, Mei Ting and Bobby! Thank you for engaging us to perform at your wedding. It was an unforgettable experience!

Compliments:
Hi Hsin Yeow,
Thank you so much! My guests loved the performance that night, in fact, we had a few of them coming to us asking for your contacts.
It was such a pity that we couldnt be there throughout to enjoy the lovely music but I am sure we will have the chance soon since some of my friends are already thinking of engaging live bands for their wedding!
Cheers,

Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Summer Rain
Emotions ran high at Shyann and Lennon's wedding. From shedding tears of happiness to dancing with all out abandon, the couple traversed the emotional extremes in one night.
The dinner started out rather sedate, as the guests quietly enjoyed the soothing music. It was an intimate wedding; Shyann and Lennon only invited a close group of about 100 family members and friends. And what I love about cosy wedding is this: the couple had time to walk to every table and talk to their guests!
But when it was time for Shyann to give a speech, tears started streaming down her face. It was a touching moment as she paid tribute to her group of close girl friends; one, in particular, shed tears as well.
When it came to Lennon, he took time to give thanks to every table in the audience. He thanked his buddies for helping him out that morning by supporting him through the gate-crashing antics. He also unwittingly revealed the secret behind his trim figure when he thanked his friends who keep him "slim by playing badminton every Tuesday."
I knew Shyann and Lennon's wedding night was going to be special because she had a clear vision of what she wanted for the music. The brief was "RnB then mambo", a simple yet challenging set of instructions.
Luckily, I found able musicians to back me up. Adeline took charge of the piano, while Ivan thrilled with his saxophone solos. Shawn, the resourceful drummer, ended the night with a literal bang as he rocked the house with his powerful drumming.

I was thrilled to know Derrick was helming the lens that night.
Thanks for the photos, Derrick!

Congratulations, Shyann and Lennon! It was a joy performing for you, and I hope to see you again soon!

If We Hold On Together (2nd March in song), I Do (Cherish You), Take My Breath Away, This I Promise You, True, Truly Deeply Madly, (Your Name With My Last Name), (Love Is Very Simple), A Moment Like This, 我只在乎你 (I Only Care About You)

(Every Tomorrow)

Pei Tong, Hoi Ning:

(Small Hands Holding Big Hands)
Songs To Recommend:
Hsin Yeow: Jun Xiong had to learn a number of new Cantonese songs. Luckily, he took on the challenge. His pronunciation was superb, so I was not surprised to learn that he got a lot of applause after each Cantonese number!

Juliet's thoughts: Start Of Something New
Unlike most weddings that were done on carpets or the stage, this one certainly took us back to nature!

The band, consisting of Shawn (percussion), Joel (keys), Windson and myself graced the grass very nicely, we hope! :)
Windson and I handled 4 languages tonight, ie English, Mandarin, and the 2 dialects Cantonese and Hokkien! Considering neither of us can speak both any of the dialects, I do think we handled (Every I Love You More),老鼠爱大米 (Mice Love Rice),默契 (Understanding),家后 (Queen Of The House),你的名字我的姓氏 (Your Name With My Surname),朋友(Friends) pretty well!

The highlight for the night for me would have to be 朋友 (Friends) and 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart). The former since I'd selected this song to be sung when the lovely couple did their yumseng rounds from table to table. Upon hearing this familiar song, everyone from that table sang together, not missing a single word! It was a touching moment of friendship for me.
The latter was the finale song, and we felt that though the dinner was coming to an end, a few smiles from the more senior guests really warmed my heart. I thought Shawn and Joel did a fantastic job rounding up the night with some happy swing.

今天你要嫁给我 (2nd March-in), 家后 (Queen Of The House), 一人一半 (One Half), How Deep Is Your Love, 童话 (Fairytale), 每天爱你多一些(Every Day I Love You More), Sway, (Your Name With My Surname), When You Say Nothing At All, Amazed, (You're A Song In My Heart), (You're The Most Precious), (The Moon Represents My Heart)

Hui Bing’s Thoughts – Somewhere Out There
If you have friends who are musically talented, do what Victorine and PK did - ask them to sing a song. And that’s what Victorine's close galfriends did by not only singing, but also playing the piano and harmonising this cutesy and up-tempo number "Chapel of Love". It was such an appropriate song for the occasion!

Victorine's ‘sisters’ (read: bridesmaids) also demonstrated how to effectively work around the problem of overcrowding at the main door during the gate-crashing activity – by building a web using ropes and strings just outside the main door. It was a creative ‘barrier’ between the sisters and the groom/brothers, as they can pass stuff and food through the web.
To cater to the wide preferences of their guests, Victorine and PK selected a diverse songlist, from oldies to jazz to pop, spanning four different languages no less. Junxiong and I had a great time singing the songs to a very supportive and encouraging group of guests, who applauded almost after every song.
Dear Victorine and PK, thanks very much for inviting us to be part of your special day and wishing you a love and bliss-filled life ahead..

Somewhere Out There, If We Hold On Together, You Are So Beautiful, Grow Old With You, Eyes On Me, The Rose, Close To You, 甜蜜蜜 (Honey Sweet), 一人一半 (One Half)
Come What May, Something Stupid, I Finally Found Someone, Way Back Into Love, 屋顶 (Rooftop), 你最珍贵 (You're The Most Precious), 甜甜的 (Sweetness), 约定 (Promise), 遇见 (Encounter), 爱很简单 (Love Is Very Simple), 追 (Chase), 你的名字我的姓氏 (Your Name With My Surname), (I Need You Every Minute Of The Day)
Compliments from Victorine:

Hi Hsin Yeow,
Sorry for the very late reply! Have been very busy after coming back from Honeymoon and shifting house.
Yes, the band performed very well! Feedback was that their voices were beautiful and it made the dinner very entertaining.
Guests commented that the band made the dinner very entertaining and there were no boring moments! Thanks to the band's ability to sing all sorts of songs, both mandaring and english, as well as songs of different genre and moods! I will definitely recommend A Little Dream to my friends! One of my friends, Teresa, already booked your band for her wedding in Jan!
Thanks so much for the wonderful memories
