Bevlyn's thoughts: Can't Take My Eyes Off You
You can tell when people are deeply in love, and this is the first thing I noticed about Kenneth and Charlene. When I asked them a question, it's almost they can know each other's answers just by searching into each other's eyes.
The couple is also one of those who booked us really early this year, and being teachers with very little personal time (Kenneth teaches English and Charlene teaches Chinese), it certainly was a good idea to start preparation for their wedding early.
One of the programmes I love most in a wedding is, the dances. I witnessed Kenneth and Charlene's fun-loving nature because though they were resolute to have a first dance at the wedding, they sought help from Kenneth's uncle (professional ballroom dancer) only right before the reception. It was pretty awkward at first because they were told to count the steps left, right centre etc. Most couples would be stressed up, but everything worked very well after the couple decided to just let loose and be more natural.
Kenneth also decided to serenade Charlene with a song that evening - L-O-V-E. Luckily Kenneth took my suggestion of having Charlene up on the stage with him when he sings (as opposed to having her off-stage), because soon after he started singing, they were wrapped in each others' arms, and yes, couldn't take their eyes off each other.
And, teachers being teachers, Kenneth committed the professional hazard when he used a classroom tone to address the guests, "Good evening everyone...". No response from guests (as like most wedding dinners) so Kenneth repeated again "Good evening everyone", in a more insistent tone, and the guests finally replied with a loud "Good evening". I figured those who replied were mostly teachers too :p
When the dance floor was announced open, we were thrilled to see a few couples coming up to dance to our song, Save The Last Dance For Me. I have to give a lot of credit to our strong line-up of musicians for that evening - ZQ with his emotion-packed voice, Boon Chye with his killer fast notes on the sax, and Linus with his steady piano improvisations.
Incidentally, Kenneth requested for quite a few French songs, but only revealed to me on the wedding day that he is the one who speaks French, and not some random mother figure! Ah~! Il est un tricheur! Charlene aussi! (He is a trickster! Charlene too!)
One thing which amused me was the fact that I had to resort to phone Kenneth when the performance was over - he had loads of time to kill after taking photos with only a few selected tables, and was lost in the sea of interaction with his guests!

Hi Bevlyn,
It has always been my dream to have a wedding with live band and dance and thank you so much for making our dream comes true.
I couldn't help but skip to the beat of your music despite being trapped in my big puffy gown. Guess that shows how much I’ve enjoyed your performance!
Once again, a BIG Thank you to you, Zhengquan, Boon Chye and Linus! Sure hope to see ya soon!
