Bevlyn's thoughts: The Look Of Love
Royston and Cherlyn sprung a surprise on us one evening when they dropped by One Rochester to hear the band. I came to learn very quickly that Royston is very serious about music, and has, in his own words, very 'specific taste for the sound' of his wedding live band.
In the end, as both Ein and I were engaged for another wedding dinner, we could only perform at his wedding luncheon. To demonstrate how passionate he is about music - he even sms me one fine day, asking me to check out a singer he chanced upon, Katie Melua. Read more about it here.
It is interesting to note that the wedding was delayed a slight bit because it was the day of the Standard Chartered Marathon 2007, and there were quite a few road closures.

But, this is the true Royston...

Royston, did we actually sing a duet together? I can't remember!

All thanks to the early time stated for cocktail, the lunch reception started promptly at 115pm. Halfway through the reception, Royston was sabo-ed by his good friend cum emcee to sing a song for Cherlyn.
Royston was rather reluctant initially, but gave in soon after some some cajoling. Singing Grow old with you from the stage, Royston personalised the song by doing a shout-out to his bride (who was off-stage) "Darling!" before he proceeded to sing the last line, "I wanna grow old with you...".
Another surprise of the performance for me was when a guest came up and requested for me to re-sing the 1st march-in song, La Vie En Rose, because it was cut-off halfway. I am really thrilled that many Singaporeans take to this great classic!
Band: Bevlyn, Ein Ein
