Bev and Hsin by Wansheng
Hsin Yeow's thoughts: 每天爱你多一些 (Every Day I Love You More)

Halfway through his speech, Allan looked at his beautiful wife, Jane, smiled and said, "Jane and I have this saying: I love you more than yesterday, but less than tomorrow!"

I thought to myself, "What a fabulous quote!"

I've heard of people using a banking metaphor to explain how best to sustain a loving relationship. The idea is that you make deposits into a love bank with every loving gesture that you do, for example, remembering birthdays, sending flowers, or peeling prawns. There are, of course, times when withdrawals are made, but you need to make sure that you make more deposits at the end of each day than withdrawals.

Then the store of love and goodwill will keep on growing, until the relationship is based on a rock-solid foundation.

It was clear to everyone attending Allan and Jane's wedding that the couple were very much in love with each other. In the way Allan's eyes searched for Jane every time her name was mentioned. In the way they held each other as they danced. Allan, of course, said it best, "I'm so happy to have Jane. At the end of a tiring day at work, I know that there's somebody waiting for me at home, who's as eager for me to open the door as I am to walk through it."

Bevlyn's thoughts: A Love That Will Last

Through the emails, Allan came across to me as someone really genuine and fun-loving - he did not mind songs like Will you still love me tomorrow because he did not want too many lovey-dovey songs to drown everyone in honey. And indeed, nobody really objected to the great song when it was performed!

I did not know how Australians conduct their wedding functions, so I was thrilled to get a glimpse of it through Allan & Jane's, mainly because of the speeches by Allan's buddies. They were extremely humourous at some points, yet extremely sarcastic at other times. I was told by Matthew that Australian's humour is slightly different - Matthew should know better since he just came back from there for vacation. In any case, I was totally amused by everyone's conspiracy efforts to take pity on Jane for marrying Allan.

But of course every single one in the room felt more than ready to give their blessings to the couple for having found love again. One such blessing came from 3 young ladies - Jessie (Jane's daughter), Allyson (Jessie's good friend), and another lady whom I unfortunately did not get hold of her name. They volunteered to put together a song A Love That Will Last for the couple, and we thought that they sang really well!

All thanks to the wonderful music accompaniment by Matthew and Niq - the couple and the guests were dancing some cha-cha at the later part of the wedding!

Compliments from the couple:

All our guests thought A Little Dream were really cool. They did a great job on the songs we chose.

We were there to have fun and enjoy our wedding and A Little Dream were the perfect band to help us do exactly that.

We're trying to think of an excuse to get them to perform for us again.

Jane and Allan.

Yes she was! Your friend knows Jessie? Jessie sang at the wedding, together with 2 other friends! It was really touching. :-)
