Bevlyn's thoughts: Till The End

I just checked through our email account and realised Jasmine first contacted us on 23 Oct 2006. The booking was actually done more than one year in advance!

It was certainly fun meeting up Jacky and Jasmine. Like most clueless couples about to get married, they asked me for advice on how to spice up their wedding celebration. One idea she picked up was to have a dedication segment to let her guests write their greetings and well-wishes, which we read out in between our songs.

The other idea was one which surprised me too - she actually chose the theme song of the cartoon Doraemon to be the music for the 1st-dish fanfare, and dedicated it to Jacky. I had told her about the surprise Christine had prepared for her husband, and she really took it up. It was certainly personalised and refreshing!

Some ideas on how to tekan the groom and the brothers (which Jacky and brothers gamely took up):

1. Clip clothes' pegs on their earlobes for a start.
2. Ask them really serious questions like 'How big is (fill in bride's name)'s palm? Then make them do forfeit.
3. Make them wear bright red underwear on top of their pants (like how Superman started the fashion). Then do the merry hip dance as an ensemble.
4. Ask them another serious question like 'How tall is (fill in bride's name)? Then make them do forfeit.
5. Make them suck a drink from a huge bottle - each person using a looooong straw (like 4 straws connected to the ends of one another). A sure way to make them drink more air than whatever refreshment.
6. Ask another serious question like 'What is (fill in bride's name)'s waistline? Then make them do forfeit. (Looks like men are really bad with measurement, except for you-know-where).

Yes, I know this is a wedding-singing blog, but I know there are ladies out there cracking their brains who will be thankful to me when they read the above. (And photographers and videographers who are looking out for content-shots).

It was quite some time since I last sang with Zhengquan and for this time round, as usual, his rendition of songs never fail to touch me too!

Incidentally, Jasmine is the first twin I sang for. Her elder twin Jacqueline is an identical mould to the uninitiated eyes. At first I thought I was seeing double!

Songs To Recommend:

Till The End (David Tan)- David Tan is an established local songwriter who has sold numerous songs to local and Taiwanese artistes. He is at the same time actively involved as backup vocalist for Taiwanese artistes like David Tao and the like.

This song is reaching us through request from our couples, which signals a climb in popularity. We love this song and hope to sing more of it! One of my favourites that was written by David is 除此之外 (范逸臣).

缺氧 (楊丞琳) - The melody is a bit diabetic sweet, but the lyrics aptly describes anyone just fallen in love.

Re: hi there :)
Hello there, no worries, we love to share what we know about songs! But as far as I know, I don't know of any English version for 除此之外. Maybe David Tan himself has :)
