Bevlyn's thoughts: Happy Together

Daphne and Kidd made a good choice of engaging a guitarist (Feri) for the wedding - the songs they had chosen were hence brought out with a better groove. One of the common questions posed to us is, "Which instrument is better?" Generally we'll have to say that getting a guitar is essential if you have songs that are more 'strumming in nature'.

And the songs they have chosen turned out to be great choices because the groove of the songs instantly made the atmosphere more upbeat. Personally it's my second time singing I Wanna Be With You, and I have to say this song has grown on me!

The song I absolutely love to perform every single time is 我要你的爱 (I Want Your Love). One of the guests happened to be Xu Qiong Fang (徐琼芳), a veteran in the entertainment circuit. When I sang the song, she took the lead to echo to us: 我 (我), 我要 (我要), 我要你 (我要你), 我要你的 (我要你的), 我要你的爱(我要你的爱) (I, I Want, I Want Your, I Want Your Love). Now that's the interaction we love!

- Most couples insist on having a keyboardist, but don't neglect the guitarist. An excellent musician will know how to coax a variety of sounds from the instrument by picking, strumming, plucking and knocking on it!

- Choose songs with a catchy chorus like 我要你的爱 (I Want Your Love) or Can't Take My Eyes Off You; your guests could be tempted to sing along with us!
