Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Quizas Quizas Quizas

When I noticed Sulianty's furrowed brow, I went over to speak with her.

"How are you feeling Sulianty? Are you enjoying the music so far?"

Sulianty replied, "Oh, I'm feeling nervous. Maybe we should have rehearsed the march-in. I didn't do it gracefully, I thought."

I tried to calm her fears, "Your entrance was fine, Sulianty! You look beautiful, and you walked very naturally."

Much as couples want to enjoy the proceedings, planning a wedding banquet involving hundreds of guests can sap their energy until the whole evening goes by in a blur.

The key is not to sweat the small stuff, relax and savour every moment.

So I joked, "Sulianty, are you going to sing a song for Alvern? Oh, I hear that you want to have a first dance with him as well?"

Sulianty and Alvern waved their hands in panic. "No, no!" they chorused. "None of that, please!"

Still, I managed to convince Alvern to give a romantic kiss (a successful example of this is here) to Sulianty while the guests are giving the third and final cry of "Yum seng!". Sulianty never expected to be bent over and kissed, but I think her surprise probably made for a great photograph.

At the end of our performance, Sulianty (aka Joan) warmed Bevlyn's heart when she held Bevlyn's hands and said, "I made the right choice!"
