Bevlyn's thoughts: Thanksgiving
Well, Annual General Meeting or Dinner & Dance, whatever you call it. Nobody danced...but food and fun were aplenty. We stuffed our stomaches with Sakae Sushi, California Pizza Kitchen's pizzas, Old Chang Ki, chicken wings, garlic bread, 叉烧酥,etc etc. This was an event we had been waiting for, cos other than the usual supper sessions we've been having all year round, this was the annual one which we could get so many people in the team together, all at one go!
Ok, 'a picture sings a thousand songs' (this quote came up while playing Cranium after the dinner - we were split into smaller groups and a member from each group had to draw for his members to guess the answers), so here goes!

Food!!

Boon Chye, Penny (Feri's wife) & Feri. We were really thrilled that Boon Chye came with his 2 lovely daughters! (Yes I think ZQ was sleep-walking in the background)

Matthew (back from Australia for vacation), Feri & Penny

Hsin Yeow with mouthful of food, Jonathan Ang and his friend Shuhui

Wilson and his girlfriend Kareen

Jixiang and Huibing posing with what's left of their food!

Bev posing with the food after 1 bite

Ein Ein and Shoujie - the sofa was not huge, they are simply too thin to take up more space.

What the keyboardists really feel among themselves...

The guitarists sitting like ah-gongs...

Our singers - ZQ, Huibing, Bev & Hsin Yeow (Serene arrived much later..)

And the singers acting out...erm wait, why was ZQ rinsing Huibing's hair? If you cover the right side of the picture, the two of them looked like a happy pair of hairdresser and customer.

The 'miscellaneous staff' - violinist Shoujie and saxophonist Jonathan Lim (Boon Chye had left at this point)
And for that evening, given the whole room of musicians, there was only 1 song played - Happy Birthday song for Ein Ein and Penny the January babies!

Yes yes, we cut only 16 slices for 24 people. Very smart.
And for the grand finale...

We just cannot sit still and pose pretty...and since ugly is in...

That's it man...

Even though we were unable to invite everyone for this party (we didn't really want to tear Princess Natalie's nice house down), we sincerely want to thank each and every one of the musicians who have worked with us. Doing music is fun, but in times of difficulty, getting support from each other is what makes it interesting and more meaningful.
Here we come 2008!
