Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Sugar Sugar

Learning how to handle guns was an unlikely way to find one's true love, but that was how Wern Yuen and Hui Jun first met each other: at a pistol shooting course. What attracted Wern Yuen to Hui Jun?

Wern Yuen: She had a kind heart, a deep love for adventure, and she was curious about everything in the world. It also helped that she had the sweetest smile.

And how does Hui Jun feel about Wern Yuen?

Hui Jun: He is creative, smart, confident and has impressive determination. He's more curious than me and inspires me to think and learn. He loves to explore, always willing to try something new or travel to interesting places. He is very sporty and has tried everything from skiing to boxing. I like the way his eyes turn brown when he smiles!

I love how Hui Jun described her hopes for their future together:

Hui Jun: I want us to go through thick and thin together. I also wanna walk hand-in-hand with him even when we're retired; I see us taking a stroll in the park and enjoying the sunset - coz he wouldn't be able to wake up in time to catch sunrise... haha!

Performing for Hui Jun and Wern Yuen was a great experience. Even though Hui Jun wasn't feeling well that day, she kept giving us the thumbs-up signal to let us know that she was enjoying the music.

After our performance, Wern Yuen's mom came forward to especially praise Bevlyn for her French diction in La Vie En Rose and C'est Si Bon. Wern Yuen's mom is a French teacher, so Bevlyn was very chuffed.

I was also thrilled when an elderly guest approached me to thank us for our performance. He marvelled at the fact that we knew songs from his youth; I told him that those songs had stood the test of time, and deserved to be heard and loved by all generations.

Thank you, Hui Jun and Wern Yuen, for selecting so many beautiful songs for us! Congratulations on getting married, and may you both enjoy many long walks in the sunset!

Thanks very much for performing at our wedding lunch! It was our privilege to have you around! Our folks were skeptical about hiring a band before the wedding and they totally changed their minds after your wonderful performance. You truly entertained and livened things up - thanks for opening song dedications to our guests as well! And thanks for the dance - we totally didn't expect it!

Additionally, we hope you have enjoyed performing together as a 4 piece - you guys rock!

The thumbs up weren't really just from me - they were also on behalf of our guests who paid many compliments to you!
