Hsin Yeow's thoughts: The Way You Look At Me

I will remember Shu'E and Nicolas' wedding with a lump in my throat.

Right after I sang The Way You Look At Me, I went over to Shu'E and Nicolas. Shu'E was wiping away her tears, and when she saw me, she said, "Thank you so much for singing that song! I started tearing up because beautiful memories kept flashing across my mind."

Shu'E had dedicated the song to her husband, because of the feelings that it evokes in her whenever she hears it. "It's like we are meant to be together... as if the various paths we took in our lives have led us together.." Of course, I was only too happy to oblige her request. I love the song very much too, and I must thank Pei Fen for introducing it to me.

Shu'E and Nicolas. Shu'E designed the yellow gown herself!
She looked resplendent in it on her wedding night!

Shu'E also had this to say about Nicolas, "He is the nicest man I have ever met. He is quiet, calm and composed. Throughout these years, he has never once lost his temper at me. He would try his best to make me happy and care for me though I know he is very busy. Every day and every hour is a happy moment for us."

Nicolas was unstinting in his praise for Shu'E too, and declared his "undying love" for her. He was so expressive and sincere when he said those words that his guests applauded!

The band had such a great time performing for Nicolas and Shu'E. Knowing that the two were so deeply in love really helped us to pour our emotions into the performance.

Congratulations, Shu'E and Nicolas! Thank you so much for engaging us for your wedding. May every moment of your marriage be filled with love and joy!

P.S. Shu'E is an avid reader of our blog, and she requested Two Words for her wedding after reading our blog entry and falling in love with the song. She also wanted to give Bevlyn the chance to sing it, with a keyboardist and violinist (essential for this song) as musicians. Shu'E is such a sweetheart!

On my part, I secretly learnt the Eason Chan number called 新美人主义 (The Principle Of Beauty) after I knew that it's one of their favourite songs. Shu'E had no idea I was going to sing it until I revealed it to her before her wedding. She was thrilled!

Song To Recommend:

新美人主义 (The Principle Of Beauty) - A lovely song that talks about how beauty is defined by one's character, not appearance. You can listen to the Cantonese version here.

Compliments from the couple:

Dear Hsin Yeow,

Thanks for your blog entry on our wedding. "A little Dream" is really a blessing to us on that day. Many of our guests commented on our live band. They were full of praise for you guys.

One guest was saying "hey, I been to Fullerton wedding, how come they never ask the band to play." When you guys played the last song, my friends were telling me, "we must clap louder, if not the band cannot hear us." And everytime when we happened to talk to friends about our wedding, all of them never failed to mention u guys.

Shoujie played the violin beautifully and I wonder how Jonathan can be so relaxed playing every song. hahaha Needless to say we love u and bev. You guys were so good. I will definitely 100 percent strongly recommend "A little Dream" to anyone who wants a magical wedding.

Once again, great thanks... for making our wedding so enjoyable and memorable.

luv,
Shu'e and Nicolas
