At The Beginning...
To start you off, here are our answers to your burning questions.
And do read our quick round up of 2008.

I am most blessed, to be able to record another album after the EP album I'd released in 2008. This is all made possible because I'm now under the wings of S2S, a Japanese record label which specialises in audiophile music, and I'm truly very happy to be part of this family since last November. We got into action quickly to put together a 2-CD album, which incorporates the 6 tracks from my EP album. I can only say I'm humbled by the help from so many super talented musicians, and the mastering which was done in Japan!
Mostly classics rearranged with a jazz spin, I hope you'll enjoy the music. Do feel free to preview the songs at MySpace, Reverbnation, or at my blog. The album is now available at HMV, That CD Shop, Gramophone, Sembawang Music, MJ Multimedia, CD Plus, New Village, Roxy Disc, Ears, and Chinatown shops …in Singapore. It’s also available in Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong now. In 2 weeks’ time, it’ll be available in Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea & Philippines.
I hope you'll buy a copy to support local music. Hope you'll like the album! :)
Love,
Bevlyn

Everybody, go drop by Caramel, grab a dress (or more), and enjoyed 10% discount instantly when you flash my latest album “You Are My Angel” to them! The evening dresses are gorgeous, and the casual wears are really very affordable. They don’t hard sell at all, so don’t worry!
[Edit on 3 Jun 09: I just met Mel from Caramel for lunch, and she told me that this pink dress is already sold! Hee! ]
Peiwen is such a sweetheart. At first, Terence agreed to engage only Ji Xiang and myself to perform. Peiwen felt that having another singer would be even more romantic and secretly got in touch with me to add one more singer and tweak the song list to include more duets.
Peiwen wrote, "Don't tell Terence!" It felt as if she was whispering in my ear, "Terence has done so much for me, I should give him a surprise. I can't wait to see his face when he sees two singers!"

Terence and Peiwen held their solemnisation ceremony at the poolside.
Apart from being a romantic spot, the familiar landmark of Changi Airport makes for a striking backdrop!
Thanks, Desmond (wedding_photog@yahoo.com.sg, 96318609), for taking the lovely photos!
Peiwen prepared more than one surprise. Halfway through the set, the wedding coordinator wheeled out a birthday cake for Terence! Before he could blow out the candles, I asked him to name three reasons why he loved Peiwen. Terence passed the 'test' with flying colours!

Peiwen and Terence were really perfect hosts; they thanked us profusely, and insisted we sit at the table to enjoy the sumptuous buffet spread.
Thank you so much Peiwen and Terence, for inviting us to be part of your wedding celebration. May your marriage be filled with joy and laughter always!

Sang a duet with Chermaine, one of Peiwen's friends.
She was absolutely cool with it, and sounded great!
Repertoire:
天天夜夜 (Day And Night), Close To You, Nothing's Going To Change My Love For You, 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), 小酒窩 (Small Dimples), 爱得正好 (The Right Kind Of Love), 关怀方式 (The Way Of Caring), 制造浪漫 (Creating Romance), 恋爱频率 (Love Frequency), 你最珍贵 (You're The Most Precious), 今生注定 (My Destiny), 今天你要嫁给我 (Marry Me Today)
Compliments from Peiwen:

Thanks for the wonderful performance! Please express my gratitude to Hui Bing and Ji Xiang as well.
Elizabeth and Denis wanted their wedding celebration to be an occasion to pay tribute to their family and friends. And they went all the way out to entertain everyone.
Right from the start, their parents got the VIP treatment; when I started singing Unforgettable, the first march-in song, the guests welcomed Elizabeth and Denis' parents first before the bridal couple walked in.
The couple also dedicated several songs in the repertoire to their parents, including 牵手 (Holding Hands), Butterfly Kisses and (I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons. I also sang My Girl for the beautiful Elison, Elizabeth's sister, who really worked the ballroom. Elison was on her feet most of the time, talking to guests and making them feel at home.
The highlight of the wedding was undoubtedly a wonderful video the couple put together, with the help of the amazing Yang. It seemed like a short film, and chronicled the story of how the couple met and fell in love. There wasn't dialogue, but the story was presented in such a fun and humourous way words were not needed. I still remember the side-splitting scene of Elizabeth showing up for work wearing shades. She was trying --- and failing --- to hide her 'panda eyes', the result of chatting with Denis the night before!
Congratulations Elizabeth and Denis! It was a pleasure to be a part of your wedding. Our best wishes to you, and we hope to see you again soon!
Band: Hsin Yeow, Juliet, Jonathan Lim, James, Wah Yong

Repertoire:
Unforgettable (1st march-in), My Girl, You Are So Beautiful, Something About The Way You Look Tonight, Butterfly Kisses, Just Can't Get Enough, When You Say Nothing At All, I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever, How Deep Is Your Love, How Great Is Our God
Pretty Woman (2nd march-in), 牵手 (Holding Hands) (dedicate to parents), L-O-V-E, Let's Fall In Love, My Baby Just Cares For Me, My Valentine, Your Love (Is the Greatest Gift of All), Shout To The Lord, Fly Me To The Moon, Say A Little Prayer, You Give Me Something, Lucky, (I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons
Audience request: 'S Wonderful, 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), Fever
Songs To Recommend:
Juliet and I really enjoyed singing the Christian songs:
I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever,
How Great Is Our God and
Shout To The Lord
But my absolute favourite that night is this one
You Give Me Something -
'Cause you give me something
That makes me scared, alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
'Cause someday I might call you from my heart...
A cosy dinner hosted behind closed doors and under the watchful eye of our DPM Wong Kan Seng’s personal bodyguards was indeed an eye-opener. Yes, we couldn’t peel our eyes off the delicious-looking dishes that were being individually served to the guests! Each plate was a tiny but ornate art piece, worthy of every succulent bite. And in between my own bites of lian rong pao that sweet Matthew had thoughtfully bought from the nearby foodcourt, we could only wistfully savour the whiffs of fine Chinese cuisine as the service staff carried them past the musicians’ tiny rest corner, located just next to the pantry door.
This dinner was no ordinary dinner for the affluent, for these guests are the ones responsible for the generous funding of the Singapore Cord Blood Bank’s R&D, medical advancement that could potentially save many lives. When Hsin Yeow first invited me to perform at this dinner, I was a little excited because being a parent myself, I could relate to the importance of cord-blood banking and its incredible medical potential. My gentle serenade to the guests was my own expression of thanks to them for their charity and life-saving foresight.
We paced the evening with both fast and slow English, Chinese, Cantonese and Hokkien tunes, many of which our guests shyly mouthed along to as they had their dinner. I personally really enjoyed it when Hsin Yeow sang “Sway”. As the song built up, he was moving his legs to the rhythm of the Cha-Cha, so engrossed in his little dance that I couldn’t help but join in. From the corner of my eye, I was pretty certain that Matthew and Boon Chye were shaking their butts and would have joined in too if they didn’t have to play their instruments.
It is truly an honour to be able to perform at a “Thank-You” dinner for our Nation’s very distinguished. This is indeed a memorable first gig with A Little Dream that I thoroughly enjoyed. As I look forward to more opportunities in future, I shall also shamelessly hint to Hsin Yeow that we hope to have more than lian rong pao for dinner next time ;p
Band: Hsin Yeow, Imelda, Boon Chye, Matthew
Repertoire:
Something Stupid, Somewhere Out There, Quando Quando Quando, As Time Goes By, Close To You, Sway, Come Fly With Me, Moondance, 夜来香 (Fragrance In The Night), 浪子心声 (A Wanderer's Heart), 分分钟需要你 (I Need You Every Minute), 只想一生跟你走 (I Wanna Be With You Always), 家后 (Queen Of The House), 一人一半 (One Half), Rainbow Connection, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, All Of Me, Blue Moon, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, 今天不回家 (Not Going Home Tonight), 我要你的爱 (I Want Your Love), 花好月圆 (A Beautiful Night), 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), 可爱的玫瑰花 (What A Lovely Rose).

One of the highlights of Marc and Sherlyn's wedding had got to be the best man's speech, who revealed a very interesting anecdote about the couple (well actually it was more about Marc). Back in the days when he and Marc were both in London while walking along River Thames, he made a casual remark about how Marc could get along with Sherlyn, only to get a response from Marc 10 minutes later after the walk, "Yah". That might just make the longest time taken for a response in the Guinness World of Records!
With Edward and Feri on piano and guitar respectively, we worked our first song "Built to last" with the all familiar rift of the song to cue the 1st march-in. I see quite a number of guests turning their heads to look at us while we perform the 1st march-in song; it never fails to amuse me that live bands are still a novelty among Singaporeans' weddings!
The guests that evening were rather reserved and I was at first rather worried that the songs were not up to their taste. To my pleasant surprise, while we were packing up after the performance, a man approached me and said "Hi, you guys are great! My table of friends and I are your fans!". I was lost for words for a moment because I definitely would not have known that if he had not come up to me. Moral of the story is: please give your applause to a band if you appreciate their music, don't scare the performers! :)
And since all good things come in double, another guest soon came up to us and asked for our contacts. Ah, the reserved nature of the Singaporeans!
The song that I relished singing that evening was the theme song from Friends. Can you believe that this is my first time singing "I'll be there for you" by the Rembrandts in all these years of wedding-singing?
All in all, Edward, Feri and I enjoyed singing the songs picked by Marc and Sherlyn, it's interesting how Edward rightly relished playing "Everything in its own time" (since it's a piano piece) but Feri relished playing "Heaven" (it's not even a guitar piece!). I think my favourite for that evening has got to be the medley of "Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World" because I just picked up the ukulele! :)
Our heartiest congratulations to Marc and Sherlyn for finally tying the knot after the marathon of dating! Like what the Carpenters sung "We've only just begun", let this be the birth of a wonderful road ahead!

Compliments from Marc & Sherlyn:
"Hi Hsin Yeow,
Jerlynn and I lived in the same neighbourhood and attended the same primary school. We didn't catch each other's eye even though we bumped into each other a couple of times while growing up. I went to Australia to pursue a degree, and when I returned home, I met her by chance at Starbucks on Christmas Day 2006.
I was waiting for a friend, and when I saw her through the window, I just sat down in front of her and started talking. The conversation hasn't ended since.
I love Jerlynn for always being frank, helpful to everyone and fun-loving.
She's the one for me. I feel incredibly proud and blessed to have her as my wife."
When Johnny declared his love for Jerlynn during the dinner, Juliet was moved to tears. Upon my recommendation, Johnny dedicated a special song to Jerlynn. It was a song which I felt was perfect for them --- I Finally Found Someone.
It's funny how from simple things, the best things begin"
Congratulations Johnny and Jerlynn! May you both be blessed with laughter and love always!

Song To Recommend:
I Believe - an inspiring performance by Fantasia, winner of American Idol Season 3.
It's just another ordinary miracle today
Ordinary miracles awaited me on 14 June, the day of Boon Peng and Candie's wedding celebration at Mandarin Oriental.
The 'little' things reminded me of what a miracle it is for love to bind two people as they embark on a journey to last a lifetime. For example, the candid photographs which the couple picked to showcase during the dinner showed two good-looking and fun-loving people clearly in love.
As I viewed the express highlights video (shot by Yang, one of the best in the business), I was also awed by the beautiful images captured on film, which resembled scenes from a Wong Kar Wai movie.
The warmth of Boon Peng's smile and handshake as he came forward to thank the band for coming to perform at his wedding was very encouraging. He told Hui Bing, "Remember, I was the one who passed you the cheque at Vinny's wedding!"
One of the highlights of the wedding was a hilarious trick the emcees played on Candie. She sportingly donnned on a blindfold and attempted to identify her husband by feeling the exposed leg of a few groomsmen. For the record, none of the legs she touched belonged to Boon Peng, but she had to pick one. The guests erupted into unbridled laughter when Candie picked, all of people, her father-in-law!
At the end of our performance, we went over to Boon Peng and Candie for a photograph. Boon Peng then gave us an unforgettable compliment, "Hsin Yeow, my boss told me that you guys were "f***ing good!"
P.S. As usual, I was impressed by the friendly and efficient banquet managers, all of whom greeted me as if we were old friends. They bustled about and got things done with mininum fuss and maximum results, just as it should be.
Band: Hsin Yeow, Hui Bing, Ein Ein
Repertoire:
Lovely, So Nice, Eternal Flame, You're Still The One, Kiss Me, 牵手 (Holding Hands), 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), L-O-V-E, I'm Yours, Love Is Love, Fly Me To The Moon, Rainbow Connection, Fallen
Somewhere Over The Rainbow (2nd March-in), 一人一半 (One Half), 我只在乎你 (I Only Care About You), Way Back Into Love, Lucky, 恋爱频率 (Love Frequency), 小酒窝 (Small Dimples), Sway
Songs To Recommend:
Ordinary Miracle - A beautiful song from the gifted balladeer Sarah MacLachlan. Came to know of it because Boon Peng and Candie chose to play the song from the CD for their first march-in. Hope to get the chance to perform it live one day.
Love Is Love - A blast from the past.
Yeow Chung and Candice makes a very humorous couple together. From their wedding video to their speeches, the guests were tickled throughout by their playful sense of humour. Their video was presented in an Action Suspense Movie format, with lots of adrenaline pumping music that sets your heart racing, wondering if this will turn out to be a deadly battle between the sexes.
Indeed it was by all means a very thrilling and eventful day. With one of the Brothers' cars being lost in Malaysia, to being "Sabo-ed" to poke one another with a plunger, drinking Guiness Stout with raw egg and eating Wasabi ice cream, the "movie" finally came to a happy end with Yeow Chung and Candice beside one another at last, the place where they truly belong.

I still remember Yeow Chung's speech, when he jokingly said that if he is right, then he is right, if he is wrong then he is wrong. But if he thinks that he is right and Candice thinks that he is wrong, then he will be wrong.
Hearing this, I can't help but utter a sweet sigh of "Awww...." Because through that, you can tell the level of love and selflessless oozing out of Yeow Chung that affirms you that Candice indeed is the woman that he loves and her happiness means a lot to him. I am really happy to be able to witness this celebration of their union and I am very glad that I was able to lend my voice to vocalize this joyous occasion.
On behalf of Judy, Matthew and me, here's wishing Yeow Chung and Candice a life time of laughter, understanding and love ahead and may they always be joyful in their lives together!

Patrick and Hera's wedding was held at the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Hotel.
This unique venue definitely set me, and I am sure their guests in the right mood to attend a wedding with it’s stylish architecture, vast spaces, modern decor, and glimpses of natural light peeking into the hotel’s interior. As the evening went on, I soon pieced together how this venue must hold a special place in Patrick and Heras’ hearts. The first clue was when I learnt that Hera is a "Singapore Girl" from watching the video montage.

Patrick was a natural charmer when it came to delivering the couple’s speech. Firstly and unconventionally, he took the stage alone joking that his bride happily entrusted him with the job, causing laughter to breakout around the room while Hera watched him lovingly from the VIP table. Hera looked beautiful in a red evening gown with crystal details.

Take a look at more stunning photographs from Yu Hsin!
The groom then went on to thank a group of friends who rushed to attend their wedding shortly after touching down from an international flight, as well as other colleagues (who initially did not manage to change their flight schedules) for using "creative" means just to attend their wedding, to which the many “knowing” parties burst out laughing.
He ended his speech with a very touching moment. The one sentence that touched my heart and I am sure many. I manage to catch the priceless moment Hera teared when Patrick ended his speech saying "To Hera, my best friend, thank you for marrying me."
I then realized the significance of the song “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat that they have chosen for their 2nd March In. It left a smile on my face.
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love every way, Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
It now all made sense. Patrick and Hera, thank you for having A Little Dream on your special day. Thank you for inspiring us with you beautiful love story.
Our congratulations to you both and may your lives be filled with bliss, happiness and eternal love.

It was an unusual night for me as I was honoured to be seated at Jimmy & Christina's helpers' table, a sweet and thoughtful arrangement so that I can enjoy the sumptuous banquet and mix around with their pals while performing my emcee role.
Christina told me that she has known Jimmy for a total of 10 years... Isn't that marvellous?! A full decade of relationship is invaluable, and they are finally sharing their life journey together from this very instance onwards!
When I asked Christina for details on how Jimmy proposed, this was what she said...
"After being together for 10 years, Jimmy proposed to me on my birthday last year on 16th Aug 2008 at the Jewel Box, Mount Faber. We'd finished our dinner, and we were enjoying our drinks while listening to the live band. I suddenly noticed him digging out something from his pocket, but it dropped on the floor. I wanted to help him find it, but he said it's okay; after he found it, he gave a happy sigh, "HENG AH!" and said Dear, will you marry me? I just laughed, he didn't wait for me to reply, and just slid the ring onto my finger! =)"
Being seated at the helpers' table, I also found out that all these helpers have been up since dawn to assist the couple from morning ceremony down to the wedding dinner reception details. Although they were physically worn out, you couldn't tell from their faces as they were beaming with smiles throughout the night. From their expressions and conversations, I got to know how popular our lovely couple is among their social circles...
My heartiest congratulations to both of you, Jimmy and Christina! Here's wishing you a wonderful life journey together From This Moment onwards with lots of laughter, joy and happiness!!! ^_^

Hi Jun Xiong,
Thanks for helping us on the hosting and coordination for our wedding dinner @ Novotel.

A wedding needs a lot of support from either family, relatives and friends. Usually all three.
I have to say Tony and Lynn had a great bunch of friends. They were very spontaneous and very playful. Tony and Lynn were equally sporting, and had fun with the "sabo" games their friends dished out.
We were greatful to be their wedding band for the night as well. Tony and Lynn chose a varied set of songs, ranging from pop to classics. Hui Ming even sang a Japanese tune!
To Tony and Lynn's guests - Thanks for all the applause!

You know that well-worn tradition of getting the groom and groomsmen to overcome different challenges posed by the bridesmaids before the groom could meet his bride?
Well, poor Bobby had another set of challenges to conquer before he and Mei Ting could reach the stage of the Four Seasons Hotel ballroom.
There were four pairs of imposing swordbearers, each one armed with a different challenge for Bobby. The last one was particularly memorable: Bobby had to carry Mei Ting up the stage! Initially I was slightly worried for Bobby, who seemed to need a bit more meat on him. Luckily for Bobby, Mei Ting seemed as light as a feather, and he overcame that challenge to the rousing cheers of their wedding guests!
Having proven his brawn, Bobby had to serenade his bride by performing a Cantonese number, 我的名字你的姓氏 (Your Name With My Surname). It was a beautiful song, and Bobby did it justice despite having had no prior rehearsal.
One of the highlights of the wedding was the entire group of groomsmen and bridesmaids stayed onstage after the yum seng ceremony to sing 我要你的爱 (I Want Your Love) together! It was a blast!
Congratulations, Mei Ting and Bobby! Thank you for engaging us to perform at your wedding. It was an unforgettable experience!

Hi Hsin Yeow,
Thank you so much! My guests loved the performance that night, in fact, we had a few of them coming to us asking for your contacts.
It was such a pity that we couldnt be there throughout to enjoy the lovely music but I am sure we will have the chance soon since some of my friends are already thinking of engaging live bands for their wedding!

The devil is in the detail, which is perhaps why I found the wedding of Dexter and Elisabeth last Sunday so devilishly divine.
Held in the beautiful Fullerton, rooftop cocktails accompanied by an evening view of the old city segued into dinner in the charming Straits Room one floor and gilded-elevator ride below. Guests were dressed to impress in tasteful cocktail outfits, and took their seats as among the select few close friends, colleagues and relatives to grace this cosy wedding gathering. Each table was gracefully furnished with everything necessary to make them complete, including wedding favours in the form of wedlock-themed luggage tags or minature music-boxes that chimed La Vie En Rose, all of which set off a mild scuffle among the ladies for the favours of choice.
With everything running smooth as clockwork, the stars of the evening were introduced in a beautifully put together video montage at 740pm, were announced at 745 and entered the hall immediately after, Dexter suave in a suit and Elisabeth floating on a cloud of white chiffon to their seats…I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a bride carry off what could have become ostentatious couture so well, but the beautiful Elisabeth definitely did, to thunderous cheers and applause from the genuinely delighted guests!
Dinner was served, with each course pre-ladled into serving bowls, and the band was struck up…that’s us, being myself on vocals, Adeline on the lovely Fullerton piano, Wah Yong providing bass on the bass, and Shawn on his stunning collection of percussion instruments complete with djembe, all playing Elisabeth’s thoughtful, and very varied selection of love songs.
It was lovely to do jazz numbers which definitely couldn’t be called ‘standards’ and a minute later do pop, Queen’s rock numbers, and then Chinese and Hokkien songs, though the favourite of Dexter’s family was definitely 一人一半 (One Half) in Hokkien, the performance of which was followed by clamours for more! Personally, the band would like to commend this couple’s taste which we very much share, and from the warm support of the rest of the guests, we hope they did as well!
As the dinner proceeded and with videos of the brothers doing star-jumps, yam sengs, and Dexter and Elisabeth’s very moving speeches, the charming mood of the Straits Room gave way to increasingly relaxed merriment, and we were very infected by the laughter and whooping of the brothers and sisters and especially of one lovely female relative with funky hair sitting right in front of our band setup, who determinedly harangued Dexter with cries of ‘Handsome Boy!’ and “Kiss Her!’ all of which we highly agreed with.
Band: Josephine, Adeline, Wah Yong & Shawn

Josephine, Adeline, Wah Yong and Shawn,
It was really great having you that night!!!
Josephine, I fell in love with your voice the moment I heard your sample and I knew we definitely had to have you sing for us. We only realised later you act too, and do both equally well :-)
It was really fun and the atmosphere was great with the music! You guys got da groove :-D
THANK YOU for giving us a night to remember !!
Bevlyn, Thank you also for the prompt responses always :-)
Yours truly,
Dexter and Elisabeth
Dean's gung-ho, never-say-die attitude made him an instantly likeable guy.
For example, I wish I were present at the gate-crashing just to watch the bridesmaid's faces as they see Dean and his band of brothers turn up wearing pirate outfits! I doubt anyone can keep a straight face in front of a 'pirate' who wears glasses and has a winning smile. See exhibit A below.

This 'pirate' can sing too! After some hemming and hawing, Dean decided to throw caution to the wind, and perform a song of his choice. He had no prior rehearsal, but it didn't show at all.
"Send someone to love me! I need to rest in arms,
Keep me safe from harm, in pouring rain"
That someone was the lovely Candy, who smiled serenely throughout Dean's surprise performance of Robbie William's Better Man. Dean later told me that it was the first song Candy had heard him sing while they were dating, and he wanted to relive that moment.
Thanks to Dean and Candy, we had a great time at the wedding, performing a set of mainly pop tunes, with a refreshing twist. In particular, I have to give it to Linus and Feri for deftly turning Top Of The World into a bossa nova tune. When Juliet heard the new arrangement, she improvised on the phrasing without batting an eyelid. Bravo!
The finale of the wedding was a performance by the groomsmen and bridesmaids. Initially, Dean told me it would sung by "a few guys". It turned out to be a massive group of about 20, singing the uplifting number about friendship, That's What Friends Are For. It was an unforgettable moment!

Congratulations, Dean and Candy! We had a marvellous time, and we hope to see you again soon!

Songs To Recommend:
There were a number of Japanese guests in the audience, so Dean requested a few Japanese tunes. These are the two Juliet had to learn specially for the wedding:
Best Friend - A beautiful song
Can You Celebrate - Dean chose this song for their first march-in!
Michelle and Julian are based in Hong Kong, so I can imagine how hard it was for them to coordinate a wedding in Singapore. Nevertheless, Julian had the idea of singing a song to serenade his wife with the help of the band. I promptly forwarded the Youtube link of <<为你钟情>> by Leslie Chung (without hearing it myself) to Adeline and Shawn so that they could accompany him on the day. Hence, the first time I officially hear the song was from Julian's mouth - I was blown-away, not only by the super beautiful melody, but also by Julian's thick baritone voice, sincerely sung to his bride who soon teared a verse into the song.

You might too, if you listen to this:
Though Julian was a tad nervous before the start of it (which was very forgivable because he did not even rehearse with the band when we arrived), he soon found his ground and wowed everyone to give him wild applause at the end of it.
I've always loved speeches at weddings, and this wedding is really memorable for the excellent speeches by two of Julian's good friends cum colleagues, and Michelle's best friend. Apparently the couple had gotten to be more acquainted with each other when they were sent to Hong Kong on a work assignment. After years of marathon-dating, finally Julian popped the question!
Another highlight of the wedding was to see Gilbert from 9 Frames! See the promotion we have with 9 Frames here. We're thrilled to have these beautiful photos from Gilbert:

Always and Forever by Heatwave - I love the groove and the seductive feel of this song!
I Won't Last A Day Without You by Carpenters - the lyrics is very meaningful, and the melody is insanely good!
One thing I love about Yong Kim and Brenda’s wedding was that Yong Kim had acknowledged their ‘match-maker’ in his speech. Sandra, the common friend who had introduced the couple to know each other, graciously stood up from her seat to reciprocate Yong Kim’s thanks. I was delighted by this, because unlike most reserved Singaporeans who are scared of being in the limelight, she allowed us to catch a glimpse of the person who had played a pivotal role to bring the couple together.
I was pleasantly surprised when Stanley and Eunice came up to say hi to the band. At first I thought their wedding was in 2007, but they reminded me that it was actually in 2006. How time flies!!! Please do come up and say hi to the band if you had engaged us for your wedding/function earlier on, we'd love to say hi!

Hi Bevlyn,
Once again, thank you for your performance last night. Please help me thank your keyboardist too, I have received many compliments on your performance. :-)
Yong Kim
Song To Recommend:
Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head - this song may not be a common wedding song, but the famous melody will not fail to make your guests sit up; they might even sing or whistle along!
How do you place a price on memories?
The intriguing theme at Yu Hsin's interactive website really encapsulates what quality wedding photography is all about. Memories, no matter how vivid at the beginning, fade with time, so Yu Hsin and his team work damned hard to make sure that your memories of the wedding are captured in stunning form.
I have been a big fan of Yu Hsin's works, ever since I met him at Nelson and Shufen's wedding.
Here's another recent example, at Dawn and Edmund's wedding.

A beautiful memory captured: Juliana, a friend of Dawn's, singing Through The Years
We arranged for Juliana to practise with Joel prior to the wedding, just to calm her nerves.
Juliana did great!

I can't be happier that he's now onboard with A Little Dream to give couples even better value for their money.

That first step is always the hardest. When Tong Hoe wanted to ask Ivy to be his girlfriend, he did what he thought would be sufficient.
Romantic venue? Yes, it was at Mount Faber.
Flowers? Check. He bought a bouquet of roses.
But when it came to holding onto Ivy's hands, his nerves got the better of him. Ivy was upset: how to be my boyfriend?
Two weeks after that fateful date, Tong Hoe and Ivy were enjoying the sunset at Raffles Raffles Marina when Ivy commented, "Can we catch the fishes here?" Tong Hoe cheekily replied, "Yes, of course, I've caught one!", and grabbed Ivy's hands immediately. Score!
Two years later, in 2007, Tong Hoe brought Ivy to the same place and proposed. Without hesitation, Ivy said, "Yes!"

Ivy and Tong Hoe wanted to view the video of the morning highlights together with their guests
We had great fun performing at Ivy and Tong Hoe's wedding. First of all, we were treated like VIPs the moment Wendy Lou, the highly efficient wedding coordinator of Marina Mandarin, saw us. Wendy made sure we were well taken care of, and we were bowled over by her hospitality.
When we started singing, we were also charmed by this beautiful and sweet toddler sitting right in front of us. She bobbed her head to the beat, and clapped after we sang. At the end of our performance, the toddler's parents came forward and thanked us for the music.
The pleasure's all mine! Congratulations Ivy and Tong Hoe! Thank you for the opportunity to perform at your wedding! Enjoy your honeymoon in Maldives!

Hi Hsin Yeow/Bevlyn/Matthew
We were back from Maldives last week and were busy settling down in our new house with no internet access. Finally managed to pen our thoughts and thanks to you guys!
It was a pity we didn't get to hear the great music often but our guests asked if the band were our friends! Thank you for the friendly approach which made the guests felt comfortable & delighted.
We are hoping to hear you more when our videos are ready!!!

Compliments: Thank You!
